The men and women who take care of the Thoroughbreds at Belmont Park, Saratoga Race Course and Aqueduct Racetrack often need assistance for daycare. Days at the stable for grooms can start as early as 4 a.m. and continue until after 8 p.m. The Belmont Child Care Association provides a safe and loving care center for equine workers' children and provides early education for the little ones whose parents work at New York racetracks.
BCCA is fortunate to have a dedicated team who work tirelessly to benefit the families of the backstretch.

Services
The BCCA set about building a center, selecting a licensed child care provider, and spearheading fundraising to support the continued operation of the center. Anna House, the centerpiece of BCCA's efforts, was built in 2002 by Board Chairman Michael Dubb and named for the then two-year-old daughter of major donor Eugene Melnyk.
To provide a safe, supportive, and academically inspiring environment for the children of parents working in the Thoroughbred racing backstretch area located at New York's historic Belmont Park, Aqueduct Racetrack, and Saratoga Race Course. We are committed to promoting early childhood education, molding young minds, and encouraging the fulfillment of dreams.
BCCA is grateful to the following organizations who help to enhance our program at Anna House by providing resources that enable our children and their families to discover new possibilities. We are always seeking corporate and community partners who support the goals of the Belmont Child Care Association.
Faith's House is open to children of backstretch workers, trainers, and racetrack employees. At Bright Horizons, we know childhood is a treasured time. We believe it is our responsibility to provide environments and experiences that capture the joys of childhood, nurture each child's individual growth and development, and pave the way for success in school and life.

My beloved Belmont Park. What have they done to you? My first visit since 2019 and oh how different it is. Didn't realize that they took about a third of the backyard area to accommodate the new arena. The biggest thing missing are the trees. No shade anymore. The track and the horses are still spectacular. But the facility itself? It's a shame to see this place in such decline.

Beautiful park , the racetrack is so huge it's breathe taking the trees and atmosphere is so peaceful and beautiful and you get to see the horses up front very close. The bathrooms could use some updates but for a 150 year old place it's is beautifully maintained so much to take in. Parking pretty cheap as well.

So much fun to go to the racetrack! Wonderful to see the horses to watch the race to enjoy a delicious warm pretzel. The people who took the bets were very patient with my silly questions and were patient and helpful. The only negative that blew my mind was that a small bottle of water was $5.00. But I would absolutely go again.
