Services
Our eye exams are provided by Dr. Rebecca Lauffenburger. Usually, a complete exam takes about an hour and will include dilation of the pupils. Please plan accordingly. Our office is proud to also provide medical and emergency eye care, so we will request both your medical and vision insurance information when you arrive to have on file in case we need it later.
No need to know your prescription details! We have all that covered for you. We need payment in full before we can ship lenses to you. A staff member will call you for a credit card number, or you can stop in and pay at the office. If you would like the contacts shipped directly to you, a $7.95 shipping charge will be applied-- or purchase a whole year's supply of lenses, and we will ship them to you for free.

So my wife called to set up an appointment for our son to make sure his vision wasn’t being effected after finding some things on a cat scan like his doctor told us to. Off the get go the woman on the phone was snotty, asked for his name and when we gave it to her we explained he was supposed be seen in January but we had to cancel due to the weather because why would we risk our child’s life for an eye appointment. This woman says that we never called and since we cancelled his new patient appointment he will never be able to be seen at that office ever. What sense does that make and what

I've worn glasses for seventy years and have seen many docs in that time. Dr. Lauf is the most knowledgeable, responsive, and compassionate I have seen. Everyone in the office is skilled and friendly. My husband, kids, and grandkids go to FEC for our eye care needs. (Full disclosure: I've known the doc for many years--but she is truly the best!)

My family has been going here for years. The Dr and most staff are very personable. They've helped with after hours issues when my husband had metal in his eye. The Dr. Has checked up up my husband while he was battling cancer. She has been very good with the girls before, and especially after my husbands passing. Takes her time and talks to each girl and includes them in their health. Teaches them tricks to help them remember how to take care of their glasses, especially since I now have a new ones in glasses. Dr. Has even bought livestock at the fair one year to hep out my daughter. Cindy is

We have been going to Family eye care since they opened. Excellent staff and caring. My youngest daughter was having issues in school and they dug deeper into the problem when the school would not consider doing anything. Got into vision therapy and that completely changed her!! Also at a FRACTION of the cost of other places inthe area that do vision therapy.

I had been going to Family Eye care of Wooster most of my life and they dropped my insurance this year. I am very disappointed they didn't have any options for me. I tried to order new contacts about a month ago and they didn't give it the go and told me I had to make an appointment, when I tried they said they dropped my insurance. Otherwise staff was very friendly. It doesn't seem they care even after all the years I have been going to them.

We have full faith in this eye center. The owner/doctor is a graduate of OSU - Go Bucks! - and she is always professional. In addition, we feel at home in this small office with personal service. Even though we have moved from Wooster, we return every year for our eye exams. Thank you, Dr Lauffenburger!!

This office is wonderful and amazing. They worked great with my kids, including my Autistic son. They were able to explain the entire process, step by step and his anxiety levels were super low. They did a great job with the exam process for both of my kids and were patient and kind. Just a wonderful experience and we will continue to go to them! I'm so glad we switched to them from our old doctors, who pale in comparison.
