Barbati Hardwood Flooring
My name is J.R. Barbati. I started Barbati Hardwood Flooring in 1987. Three decades later, we are proud to say that our clientele is over 90% repeat and referral based business. Over the years, we have installed and refinished flooring in up scale restaurants such as West Chester's Spence's Cafe, Crawdaddy's, Doc McGrogans, and many more.

We have floored hundreds of homes and even local historic sites such as the Dower House in West Chester PA. We install unfinished, pre-finished, and engineered wood flooring products. Our crew is experienced with installation of Naildown Flooring, Staple Flooring, Glue Down Flooring, and Floating Flooring.
Services
We sanded, hand-scraped, stained and applied one coat of oil-base polyurethane to these gorgeous steps. When the beauty of your existing hardwood floors is diminished by scratches, dents, and damage, we can restore your floor to its original luster. We will sand, refinish, and repair your floors so as to restore them to their original beauty.
Barbati Hardwood Flooring offers exemplary Historical Restoration services to make old floors look like new. Historic homes have some of the finest flooring available, and replacing it might be a mistake. While historic flooring restoration takes the finest artisans, the results speak for themselves.
Barbati Hardwood Flooring installs unfinished, pre-finished, and engineered wood flooring products. Our crew is experienced with installation of Naildown Flooring, Staple Flooring, Glue Down Flooring, and Floating Flooring. We can even install beautiful borders, medallions, and inlays for a more distinctive look.
We used existing wood from another area of this historical Chester County home to match and patch this area of an upstairs hallway. At Barbati Hardwood Flooring, our professionals are magicians when it comes to floor patching and repairs. When it comes to floor refinishing, we often are called on to do some additional repair and patching work before the refinishing process can be completed.
If we use an oil base urethane finish, your floor is usually dry enough to walk on after 24 hours. If the weather has been rainy or extremely humid, you may want to allow an extra day of drying time. It is best to allow three days for the urethane coating to dry before you move furniture onto the floors.

JR and his team did an amazing job installing hardwood flooring and LVT in our home. Our floors are beautiful! We communicated directly with JR throughout the process. We would highly recommend Barbati.

Positive: Quality, Value
Had a good experience with JR and his team refinishing our pine floors. They gave us their recommendations but still agreed to honor our preference for the finish which we appreciated. They did a good job sanding some tricky areas underneath our radiators and we are happy with the results!

From our initial consultation, I knew I wanted to give JR our business. He was very professional and personable. He gave us great advice, had our estimate to us within a day, and ensured we were happy with the final results. His crew worked with us, even when I was being an indecisive customer! We’re thrilled to have them do the rest of our dated flooring when the time comes.

Very happy with this company. The was a 1962 home renovation with some original 2" x 5/16 nail down red oak flooring. They had to demo some of it, install some new flooring, sand everything then stain and seal it to all match. It turned out better that I expected. It all matches and looks fantastic. I will add I always appreciate when I get to deal with the company owner. As a fellow business owner that means a lot.

I obtained 4 bids to have 85% of our first floor hardwoods and the stairs refinished. Ultimately I selected Barbadi's to do the job. They weren't the cheapest bidder, but they also weren't the highest. They were selected mostly because of the Google reviews others had left (more than the other companies that came up combined) and I liked the way they responded to the few negative posts they had. In the end I felt good about Barbadi's doing the job and I was not disappointed.
I scheduled with them 6 months out in order to coincide with our 7 day vacation as there would be no way to get the job
