Dr. Kapur graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2000. She grew up in Canada and came to Chicago in 1994 with her husband, and considers herself a "long-time Chicagoan". After getting her Bachelor's degree in Science from Dalhousie University in 1992, a short stint working as a dental assistant between classes provided her with the motivation to pursue a career in dentistry.
Bonding is a popular method to enhance the aesthetics of your smile. Bonding can be used to correct cracks or gaps in teeth, as a filling after a cavity has been removed, or to cover up stains or discolored teeth. A composite resin is used on the affected tooth or teeth. It is molded and sculpted over an adhesive gel that is placed on the tooth.
Dental bridges are a great way to replace missing teeth. Your existing teeth are used to literally create a bridge to cross the area where your tooth is missing. Bridges are made from gold, metal, alloys, or porcelain to ensure that they are strong and durable. The process of creating a bridge begins by creating abutments out of your existing teeth where the bridge will be attached.
Over time our teeth begin to weaken and become more susceptible to problems such as decay, cracks, discoloration and others. If you feel your smile isn't what it once was, crowns can help you recover your smile. If your dentist notices that a tooth is decayed or seems weakened/cracked a crown may be necessary to make sure that there are no additional problems with the tooth.

I was referred to Dr. Kapur when my regular dentist was unable to complete an implant procedure. Dr. Kapur contacted my oral surgeon, discussed my case with him, and then promised me she could do the job. I was very relieved to hear that! She not only did the job, she did the job to perfection! I was 110% satisfied. She is a very kind and patient doctor, and I give her my highest recommendation!

I was referred to Dr. Kapur from my daughters pediatric dentist. I happen to be upstairs leaving from one appointment and decided to walk into Dr. Kapur office to make her appointment. Walking into the office I loved the lobby area decor and vibe. Receptionist was a sweetheart and set everything up for me really quickly that I decided to make an appointment for my self. 1st impression was great, 2nd visit with the doctor and staff was just as great. Everyone was polite, rear office was beautifully decorated and clean. Glad I decided to switch to this dentist

This is my second five-star review for Dr. Kapur and her dental practice - first was based on a teeth cleaning a few months ago. I have just had three veneers and a crown replaced. Again, I'm just overwhelmed by Dr. Kapur!!! She is the nicest, kindest, most gentle and skilled dentist I've ever seen!! The veneers are beautiful and the crown replacement finally ended a growing, dull pain I'd been experiencing for several months. She is so patient and a true perfectionist. The office is modern and immaculate. The support staff is great. I'd give Dr. Kapur's practice 10 stars

I love Kapur Dental and Dr. Kapur! Everyone at Kapur Dental is friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I have been a patient here for over two years and could not be happier. I never thought I could adore a dental office- but I do. No one really likes dental work but coming here makes it much more pleasant. The staff all knows me by name when I walk in and they also ask about my kids, etc. I’m always able to get an appointment when I need one. I definitely recommend this office. :)

I wish I could give this place 10 stars ! This is the best dentist/dental office I have been to . The atmosphere is so welcoming with gorgeous modern updates ! The front desk receptionist is super friendly and has a very upbeat personality! The dental hygienist also had a great personality, was super friendly and we even talked about life in between her cleaning my teeth . When the dentist came in , she was awesome with explaining my x-rays and went straight to work with examining my teeth . After she was done she thoroughly explained the issues I had and offered a plan . I'm happy I found

I chose to go to Kapur Dental because of all the amazing Yelp reviews. I had an awful experience as a kid with a dentist but I was then lucky enough to find a doctor who I stuck with for over 15 years. After he retired I was afraid to go to someone new.
And coming from a person like me, I can honestly say I could not have come across a better place than Kapur Dental.
The dental hygienist was very nice and kind, she took it easy on me because of my fear of the dentist. She talked to me the entire time which helped me stay relaxed.

I love Kapur Dental. They are the best! So accommodating. They've taken me last minute and rescheduled appointments without a problem. They are very kind and personable. Very reasonable cost too! And they are very patient and gentle. I was always somewhat afraid of going to the dentist because of a past horrible experience, but not with them!

I've been to Dr. Kapur for three visits so far and couldn't be happier. She is easygoing, very professional, and her disposition took the fear out of having my cavities drilled away! Her office staff is awesome from the front desk all the way to the back where the hygienist power washed my extremely neglected teeth and gums:( The office and equipment is modern and up to date. I love it that they text you with appointment confirmations and a real person responds if you text them back...silly it seems, but in our automated society I have come to really appreciate being served by humans

I'm not really a big dentist fan BUT this place made me change my mind. Today was my first time going here and when I walked in the people were very welcoming and the place was very clean! I was only supposed to get a consultation on my right lower back tooth because the filling came out but they wanted to fix it right away so there was no problems of them getting me in. The doctor was amazing and she was super nice as well! I absolutely LOVE this place and I will definitely be back!. If you love your teeth as much as I do please check them out! You won't regret it! :)

I cannot say enough about Dr Kapur and her amazing staff. I have loved everyone I have dealt with there. I have been traumatized many times by dentists in the past and let Dr. Kapur know before she did any major work, she listened to my concerns and respected what I told her. My most recent visit where I got 2 fillings changed out and a new cavity filled was a great experience and I have NEVER in the past 20 years said that about a dentist!

Dr. Kapur is AWESOME! I have only been here once but she is the bomb.com. Usually I only interact with the assitants - who are also wonderful - but I loved that Dr.Kapur stuck around for more than 5 minutes just for a check up. She was thorough with my examination after the assitants had left and also a very great person to just converse with. I have never had a personal relationship with a dentist like I do with my physician but I hope to have one with all my health care providers.

Dr. Kapur is a true gem! My husband and I went to see her after my in-laws raved about the great care they received, and we couldn't agree more. She is very knowledgeable and personable - always taking the time to listen and to provide excellent recommendations that keep our teeth strong and beautiful. She even contacted our insurance company herself to help us make the most of our coverage. Her office staff has been equally as helpful and pleasant. Appointment times and text reminders are convenient... I have never been happier to visit the dentist!

I recently visited Dr. Kapurs office to get a filling changed, not only was she was able to work with my schedule, but she was able to fix the filling. Dr. Kapur exceed my expectations by far the best Dr. out there. Also, the assistant Nina was great. She was very helpful and had a good sense of humor. I really wish I would've known about this place before I visited any other place and by the way I never give reviews, but I really feel everyone needs to know how great this place is. Beyond satisfied!

I have to say that I am extremely pleased with Kapur Dental. I was a little afraid of what this experience would be like but I am happy that I decided to become a patient here. I have never been more comfortable in a dental chair before. Everyone here is sincerely friendly, they take the time to explain things to you and most importantly, they do a great job! I don't care if I move clear across the city, I will be coming here for my dental care.

I had horrible experiences with a few dental offices because I am pregnant. Some treated me like I had a disease. They would make me wait forever(knowing that I am pregnant) and then tell me not to come back until the baby is born. Dr. Kapur and her entire staff treated me very well. I didn't feel like I had a plague thrown upon me since I am with child. They didn't lecture me. In fact, Dr. Kapur educated me about the baby's teeth development at this time in the pregnancy and gave me advice on what to do. No chastising or guilt trips. I was recommended here by an old friend, and now I recommend it to everyone I know! I can not say enough good things about this office. The entire staff is extremely nice and helpful. They genuinely care about their patients. Dr. Kapur and dental hygienist, Michelle, are such nice people. They remember everything we talk about, dental related or not. Which says a lot for a place I only visit twice a year! I recently moved to New Lenox, and both myself and my husband continue to make the 45 minute drive to her office. I moved back to Oak Lawn so it was time for me to find a new dentist, and I'm very selective about who treats my teeth. Dr. Kapur and her staff are so sweet and accommodating. All my questions got answered and the office space is very comfortable. I'm in school and don't have dental insurance. Though I've only been a patient for a short time, I was having trouble being able to pay for a cavity that I needed to get filled.
