Little Ninja, (preschool children ages 3 to 5). Is an exclusive specially designed class for pre-school aged children, ages 3 to 5. In this class we focus on developing the basic physical, neurological, and motor development of small children. We use basic training which include simple punching and kicking drills and Ninjutsu stances (Kamae).
Professor Casarez taught his last seminar of his career here at our dojo. This seminar ended his 70 year career of teaching martial arts and teaching seminars. He's only privately teaching Grandmaster Murdock when in town and Master Wilson, Master Allen and Master Keck by appointment. This picture was taken in front of the Tri-City School of Martial Arts location at the Ohio side of the old 6th street bridge.
These eight values are the very foundation of our schools, both SSMA and REBD. We have always, and we will always continue to follow these important values in our schools, our training and our lives. Dishonesty, disrespect, stealing, ego, arrogance and aggression are all signs of weakness. We train to better ourselves, our community and the world.
Our students learn how to be attentive, learn how contribute to a better world by contributing to charity, to their family and to helping others. Learning these values helps them to achieve honor roll status at school. They also get in better physical shape and have a positive attitude. This also helps dissolve stress.

My experience ranges with Karate, Judo, Aikido, and Juijitsu. Some instructors were better than others. I started training with the Southern School of Martial Arts. The training is more than the physical. Soke Murdock trains the spirit and the mind as well. I started out as a White belt even though I had prior training. Now I am on the cusp of earning the Shodan (1st degree black belt). Through it all, my experience shows that if you stick with it, the skills you gain will help you in other areas of your life. Will you be the movie version of a martial artist? No, this is very practical, combat

My boys had been wanting to take a Martial Arts class for a long time but I couldn't find one that taught more than just kicking and punching. Soke Murdock is an awesome instructor. He teaches real techniques that actually work. My kids have tried them on me and have taken me down. I am thankful that we found this Martial Arts school. Not only are my kids learning self defense but they are also learning morals to go along with it! Thank you Soke Murdock!

Truly an amazing instructor. My daughter attends the children's class and my son attends the Little Ninjas class for younger children. Sensei is patient and kind through his teachings I've watched both of my children grow in a short amount of time. His style as realistic and useful. He helps to build their confidence both mentally amd physically. I'm very impressed always by everything they do!

I started here in August 2016, just over a year ago, it feels like it is all starting to make sense, call me a little slow if you will.
Mark is an amazing teacher, he starts with basics, gets your mind wrapped around fundamentals, and before you know it you will be flowing in ways you have never have even thought of. Like picking up a fork to eat, a thoughtless process.
I'm in his MMJ class, it's a mixture of Japanese Jujitsu, Combat Jujitsu , and Judo. I've recently became interested in his Ninjutsu, one of the only qualified around, don't know enough yet to talk about it, maybe in another year
