Sakura Martial Arts NC
Our program promotes strong character-building, self control, resistance to peer-pressure, and measures against bullying. Steeped in the Japanese tradition of Budo Taijutsu, our program promotes strong character-building, self control, resistance to peer-pressure, and measures against bullying. Our system is much more than just kicking and punching; we build from the inside out so you or your child becomes strong and successful.

We are a Traditional Japanese school focused on developing the skill and spirit of a warrior. Budo taijutsu is not a sport martial art thus we do not compete. Techniques and philosophies focus on natural movement. Strength and speed take a back seat to distance and timing. The focus of a student should be personal improvement.
Services
Sakura Martial Arts Youth Ninjutsu is a cooperative martial arts program for kids of all skill-levels, teaching the traditional marital arts of Japan and the skills of the ninja (Ninjutsu) in a fun and lively manner.

Whereas many other "ninja kids" programs are a hodgepodge of martial arts not actually related to Ninjutsu, this program is built on actual Ninjutsu training from Japan as taught by the last living actual ninja Grandmaster, Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi.Participants learn discipline and respect, develop confidence and self-esteem, gain age-appropriate social skills and leadership abilities, improve focus, increase fitness, learn self-control, and more.
New Students: Please see information about our class descriptions to see which classes are best for you. Classes are subject to session dates and may be cancelled due to holidays, special events, or inclement weather. In general, the schedule is flexible so that students can attend on different days from week to week, if desired.

Just finished taking a six week self-defense course with my daughter and a few other ladies, I'm confident to say we all had a blast and learned so much from Tony and his assistant Austin. We certainly hope nothing happens to any of us but if it does, better watch out!! 💪👊 Thank you Tony and Austin!! You guys rock!

I've been taking lessons from Tony for about a month. It's exactly what I was looking for; expert instruction, fluid teaching techniques, history and philosophy of the art, and easy practical application.

Sensei Tony is a very knowledgeable and patient teacher. My son and I have only taken a few classes thus far and we are really enjoying the training. We have no previous martial arts experience but have been made to feel very comfortable in his dojo. We look forward to continuing to learn from an awesome instructor.

Sensai Tony is a wonderful teacher, engaged, informative. I came for one class so I can learn a few forms to incorporate into my Tai Chi teaching (I’m a teacher, also) and gained so much. Working on what he taught me , practicing, then I’ll be back to study more with him! Thank you, Sensai Tony!🥋🧘🏿‍♂️🕊

Mr. Tony is an incredible teacher and a very knowledgeable person! I always get excited before every class thinking to myself, “what new exciting and crazy thing will I learn today!” and I am always wanting to come back for more at the end of class.
I’ve learned so much from him during these last 5-6 months; how to defend myself, the wonder of plants and how they can be used for different things, about the structure of the human bone, and ways on how to my improve self esteem and that it’s okay to not get it right the first time.
I am truly thankful Mr. Tony!! And I’ll see you at our

Tony is one of the best! His teaching style is one of the best I've seen. He took the time to teach my grandson in the way that he would learn the art. I would highly recommend this place! ☆☆☆☆☆

I trained with Sensei Tony when first moving to NC. I loved the physical aspect but was enlightened by his vast knowledge of mind, body, and soul. Training in martial arts is more than fighting to sensei Tony but is more a way of life. I enjoyed time spent training and am eager to start again soon.
