Comfy Couch Assisted Living
Opening Comfy Couch in the Arcadia area of Phoenix has truly been a labor of love. This 1971 GEM has had a full remodel, including taking it down to the studs and reworking the floor plan to make the most of the home for our residents. Many people in the industry have told us they remember our house in years past and love the updated beauty and lightness that is part of our joyful facility.

But a facelift is just the surface of what we are all about! This place has HEART. It's the people who live and work here that make us who we truly are. You can feel the love in our house when you set foot inside. We love to have guests! Come see the home, meet our incredible staff and perhaps stay for one of our home-cooked meals!
Services
Shanon came to Comfy Couch with nearly two decades of experience working in the health services and behavioral health fields, and was the licensed Manager of Comfy Couch for more than 3 years prior to becoming the Owner.

His lengthy accolades include being a Certified Assisted Living Manager, an Executive Director for an Assisted Living/Memory Care community in Scottsdale, he is a certified CPR/First Aid instructor and he also works as a Certified Caregiver Instructor at one of the top medical training schools in our state, Arizona Medical Training Institute (AMTI).

Comfy couch was a great fit for my grandmother after she was unable to take care of herself. Very patient and friendly staff with a beautiful and homey environment. My grandfather went to vist her daily and the staff made him and us feel comfortable and welcome. They worked well to coordinate with our family, other service providers, doctor’s visits, and hospice care. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to see their loved ones treated with respect and cared for the way they deserve. ❤️

I would highly reccomend this business to any family in need of help. The nurses were so kind and understanding and made the process as comfortable as posdible for my grandmother.

First off, none of our family ever saw or experienced any of the negative items in the only other review showing - there are plenty of 5 star reviews not "recommended". The staff always seemed nice and friendly to the residents and the meals looked well prepared. They often joked around and seemed playful with my grandmother. We only moved her to a different facility in the last month for memory care so I feel that the review is either not accurate or the incidences occurred long ago. Comfy couch is a great quiet assisted living home in a very nice lower Arcadia location. The owner mike

After 10 years of taking care of mom on my own with caregivers I had to make the decision to place mom in a care facility. I was happy to find Comfy Couch Assisted Living. The owners Mike and Beth have become family. They understand the trials that occur when a family member has Alzheimer's of Dementia. The staff at Comfy Couch take good care of the residents. They attend to the needs of everyone in the house. I like the fact that there are only 10 living at the house at any one time. There are activities like crafts, psychical exercise, music and Bingo to name a few. They take care

My mother lived here for several years; in fact she was their first resident. The owner, Beth and her husband are wonderful, caring people and they ensure they spend time with all of the residents individually. The house is kept clean and very sanitized. Unfortunately they are not on site most of the time.
The reason I am giving it two stars is because throughout my mother's stay there which was several years, the caretakers were NEVER held to a higher level of care. The vast majority were CONSTANTLY on their phones and even spoke another language to each other while ignoring the residents

I highly recommend Comfy Couch. Doctors, nurses, and hospice representatives (who visit facilities like this all over the valley) have commented to me about the cleanliness of Comfy Couch and the quality of the owners and caregivers. The owners are top notch people who are very hands on and responsive to individual needs and concerns. The owners and staff treat the residents like family, often baking cookies and playing games with them. The caregivers go the extra mile and even do my 95 year old mother's nails! Our mother has been a resident at Comfy Couch for over a year. We moved her here from

We moved our 90+ year old mother to Comfy Couch from a large facility in the Valley. The staff is caring and attentive. They go the extra mile to care for our mother, who is partially paralyzed from a stroke. The owners are quality people, very hands on and responsive to inquiries and concerns. the house is kept impeccably clean and the location is fabulous. Several medical/geriatric professionals who have visited my mother have commented on the quality of the home and care. One recently said she was recommending it to other clients, which she noted, she rarely does. We highly recommend Comfy Couch

If you truly want your loved one to be properly cared for, this is the place. The staff are amazing and take great satisfaction in making their residents happy. Every resident is different, has different needs, and of course different personalities. But each is well cared for and catered to. All meals are cooked on-site, including daily cookies, breads, soups, etc. and staff are happy to provide in-between snacks. My friend was here for almost two years and both the staff and owners were just wonderful. Don't look any further for a better place!

Comfy Couch has been a fantastic place for my parents to feel cared for and at "home" during their late years in life.
Located in the Arcadia area, familiar to my parents from when we all were young; the surroundings were a comfort; and the central location is more convenient, so all of me and my siblings are able to visit.
The wonderful staff, caring owners, and other residents have been a marvelous place for us to feel Mom is cared for and loved.
