I cannot speak highly enough of Old Blue BBQ and Kelly as our full service caterer for our wedding!
After postponing twice, the actual wedding went off without a hitch, largely due to Kelly and her staff. Not only was the food and service excellent, but Old Blue handled the set-up, room flip, breakdown, and table decor - a lot of which we got from their bride share.
On top of hiring them for our wedding, we have ordered take out from them several times which has always been great!

We used Old Blue BBQ for our wedding on Sunday September 5th on Labor Day Weekend. Kari and Kelly were the easiest people to work with and were never annoyed with the millions of questions we had about the wedding. The bartenders were amazing and the food was on point. My wife and I thought we'd be coming home with so many left overs but we were so wrong! Most of our guests definitely had seconds!

OBBQ staff are professionals with years of experience in the industry and you can tell! Thanks to them, our wedding was a huge success. We used Old Blue BBQ to cater a Celebration of Life ceremony, and it was Fantastic. The food was great, we got rave reviews from so many people and I was asked many times who the caterer was. The set up was exactly what we wanted and the staff was polite and professional. Dealing with Kelly (the Owner) was easy and pleasant. The food we had was a mixture of BBQ, Brunch and a picnic. I couldn’t recommend them enough. If you need something catered or are just looking for delicious food, Old Blue BBQ can do it, and do it well. 5 stars. Highly recommend them.

So first and foremost the food was DELICIOUS. Like people are still talking about it delicious! Which is of course what you want out of a caterer, but even more important to me as a bride planning a wedding with unexpected COVID complications, the team at Old Blue took so much off of my plate. They have decor you can borrow, they worked seamlessly with my venue 48 fields so I barely had to think about anything set up/decor related, they transported all of our alcohol and decor to the venue (I dropped it off with them the week before), and had awesome suggestions for bar

Had a small family event - 15 people - and tried Old Blue BBQ for a disposable delivery. Got a good bit of food and tried a lot of the menu. Highly recommend! The delivery was on time, the food was hot and delicious and communication was fantastic. Has people in from Texas and they thought the same as well. The fried chicken was the winner!

It would have been a better review if the $34 per LB Brisket was sliced instead of chopped. The Chopped Brisket, pretty much is over cooked. Not sure if the chopped brisket is from the weekly cater leftovers, but I bet it would taste better in a sandwich and the calzone than ordering stand alone. The chicken wings were good. Back to smoking cow for the neighborhood bbq.

We wanted barbecue for dinner and it would have been easy for us to just take out from our usual place, which is always good. But for some reason, I decided to check YELP. And we are really glad that I did. The food from Old Blue BBQ is amazing. We ordered way too much (which is not unusual for us) and everything exceeded our expectations. We started with Moinks- their appetizer consisting of meatballs wrapped in bacon and covered with barbecue sauce. As delicious as it sounds. We ordered ribs. Perfectly cooked with a char covering really tender meat that fell off the bones. Not fatty or greasy

We've LOVED working with Kari - so much that we booked Old Blue for our small covid ceremony dinner AND our postponed reception. The food is wonderful, great value, got our guests to enthusiastically eat brussels sprouts, the staff are all fun and professional - honestly just book them and don't look back. They've also got a huge selection of decor (like cake stands in picture) that you can borrow for your wedding, which saved us a huge amount of work.

I'll never understand the appeal of chains like Famous Dave's when there's far better BBQ in ones own backyard.
Case in point, this little takeout and catering joint on Eisenhower (in the same plaza as Kiwi Pies). Ladyfriend and I on a lazy Saturday afternoon of yard saleing - dangit , should've gotten those weird salt and pepper shakers from that one house - ordered takeout. She got the pulled pork sandwich, i got the chopped brisket calzone, and we got peach bourbon baked beans, Chesapeake potato salad and Texas caviar sides. Total of $42. A little pricey, sure, but a good

Where do I begin? My military unit was called to DC for the inauguration. By the end of the week we were tired, cold, and in need of a hot meal. My family, a wildly generous bunch, started searching for a businesses to provide us lunch.
Kelly from Old Blue was right on it with email, quotes, and phone calls. She organized our food and delivery in no time. We even had to change delivery locations last minute and Kelly took care of all the details leaving us feeling very reassured. Just amazing customer service.

Tried this over the weekend since we live a couple blocks from this place. Service is super friendly and helpful. Just call in your order and call them when you get there. We actually ordered right outside the place. It was our first time and I think the owner/chef saw us outside and just took our order. We got the brisket and Brussels. Sooooooo good. It's of course a bit pricier than other places like Mission and Dickeys, but their brisket was soooo good and worth it. Definitely a treat on my cheat days. I would've taken a pic but I ate it all haha. But it's all nicely and neatly

Y'all messed with the wrong people showing up late, wrong food wrong time,
Ruined my whole wedding and cost an arm and a leg. The brisket was pretty good, not gonna lie, and those collared greens were like mama's with the pork feet all sticking out and goodness, the Mac and cheese did put old Leroy back in the hospital but he don't mind.
