A life-long resident of Baker, Florida, Dr. Wanda Cook Batson attended Baker School and received her Associate of Arts degree from Okaloosa-Walton College. She then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University and her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
I have always received courteous and professional care when I have been to Okaloosa Eye Care. Thank you for being too kind. Amy Riggs is such nice dr, you can tell she really cares about her patients, all the people that do the testing are really nice too. The office admin folks and Dr. Batson were outstanding.

Dry eye is a surprisingly common ocular condition. However, in most instances, the symptoms are mild and resolve themselves fairly quickly. As a result, many people who experience dry eye don't actually realize that they are suffering from a recognized eye problem. Beautiful office in the heart of downtown Crestview. Friendly and professional staff. I was seen within a few minutes of my appointment time, which is always refreshing. It was a very comprehensive exam, and Dr. Riggs was professional and knowledgeable. When I went back the next day to buy glasses, I found a nice selection of frames and had no trouble locating one priced within my insurance frame allowance. I didn't feel they were just trying to sell me something. I browsed undisturbed, and didn't have to wait long once I indicated I was ready.

My husband ordered frames and lenses. No communication at all that they had arrived. Then the lenses were messed up. 2 weeks later and still no glasses. Even though they promised they would try and rush them. They basically let him fall through the cracks and they couldn't be bothered to go out of there way to correct the situation. Very disappointed.

They take my kids insurance and they are now 13 & 12 years old. We've been coming here for years and I've always had a positive experience with these doctors. Just make sure to call in advance to have them find a time that fits to your schedule.

Dr. Batson and her staff are all very friendly and proficient. They make me enjoy my visits rather than dread them. They also are very up to date on all of the tests and their equipment is up to date. I especially appreciate the machine tests I receive for macular degeneration and the special time spent with me explaining about the nature of my tests and my problems. Their suggestions for the eye vitamins are great and seem to be helping so much.

Dr. Batson and staff are wonderful! They are friendly, nice and extremely helpful. I have been seeing Dr. Batson for several years. My children saw her when they were here in the area as well. Her exams are through. Whatever the vision issue is or medical eye issue she will be sure to find it and offer a solution. I trust her, and that says alot!
