Walter, Walt, Mr. Auxter, Dad, Grandpa, GG Boppa - no matter what you called him, was a friend to all. He is greatly missed, but his presence will always be found here at the funeral home. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

Mitchell auxter Funeral Home has handled the Gilbert and Stokes family from the Vickrey area for quite some time. My mother passed away in 2019 and her sister, my aunt, passed away in 2021. I also made my own arrangements at this Funeral Home for hopefully well into the future. Dean & Melinda Auxter are caring and helpful folks who really assist in times of need when taking care of a loved one who has passed.
