Adat Shalom Preschool was founded in 1993. Our preschool program encourages your child to grow and develop interpersonal skills and a positive self image. We keep our class sizes small to ensure your child receives the personal attention they deserve. Classes have a maximum of 12 children to two teachers.
Adat Shalom Preschool employs dedicated teachers and staff who have the credentials and the passion to create a fun and engaging learning environment for your child. Our head teachers boast degrees from accredited colleges or universities and have thousands of hours of experience in working with young children.
Adat Shalom Preschool blends the HighScope Preschool Curriculum with the skill requirements at Fox Chapel School District in Pittsburgh, PA to create a curriculum that will best prepare your child for elementary school. Our developmentally-appropriate curriculum provides your child with a variety of opportunities to stimulate growth and learning in a caring, relaxed, pleasant, and fun-filled atmosphere.
At Adat Shalom Preschool, providing your child with a safe and secure learning environment is high-priority. Here are some precautionary measures we take to ensure your child is safe at our school. All visitors to the school must use a locked entrance that is monitored by a security camera. Additionally, visitors must be identified and admitted entrance by office personnel.
We design our physical environment and preschool classrooms at Adat Shalom to stimulate and facilitate your child's personal learning and growth. Children of all ages enjoy clean, spacious and comfortable classrooms that are filled with bright, natural light. Our classes have a maximum class size of 12 students to two teachers, providing your child with the attention he or she deserves.

We've had kids at Adat Shalom Preschool for over 5 years now and couldn't be happier with our choice! Our oldest daughter moved on to Kindergarten and was extremely well prepared, both academically and socially. Our Son is finishing Pre-K this year and is ready for the steep up to Kindergarten. Our third child will start the 2's program next year.
They've always made time to discuss our various kids' strengths and weaknesses, and were focused on making sure they were ready for the next step, with a healthy attitude towards school, their classmates and teachers.
I very strongly recommend Adat
