Our teachers are not only qualified, but loving. Each teacher has an education degree, trained in CPR and First Aid. They believe that the children at MUM Preschool need to be loved and nurtured. Children are welcomed with open arms each morning as they get a warm hug from their teacher. We are located on Center Road in Monroeville with easy access to all major highways, including the parkway and turnpike.

Services
Our 2 year old program is designed for the children to explore and discover through play and a variety of group activities. The children will develop their social and emotional skills through group-play (sharing, turn taking, problem solving) and movement activities (following directions). The children will also be introduced to monthly themes through simple art activities, music (songs and finger plays), and literacy (story-time).
The school consists of three classrooms. Children are assigned to a classroom where they receive specific instruction based on their age. Children do have the opportunity to move around to the other classrooms to explore different areas during free time at the beginning of each school day. Below each picture is a description of what the children do in the rooms during free time, in addition to what age group uses the room for group instruction.
The MUM Pre-School meets from Sept. through May in the lower level of Monroeville United Methodist Church, 219 Center Road. Morning sessions are from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m., and afternoon sessions are from 12:30 - 3:00 p.m. Children are requested to arrive no earlier than 9:00 & 12:30 and not to come into the classrooms until a teacher opens the door for them.
From the Turnpike: Take first exit, Business 22. Merge onto Business 22. Go straight through light at Rt. 48 / Haymaker Rd. At the fourth light, Center Rd./ Monroeville Trestle. Eckerds Drug is on your right, make a right. Monroeville United Methodist Church is just behind the Jonnet Shopping Plaza on the left (2nd driveway).
MUM Preschool and the Monroeville United Methodist Church follows and is in compliance with Safe Sanctuaries, a United Methodist Church Child Abuse Prevention Policy. As part of the Safe Sanctuary Program at MUM Preschool, all adult volunteers involved with children's programs, must submit to a criminal background check.

We absolutely recommend this school! They were beyond amazing with our daughter. AND thanks to this school for providing early eye exams, we found out our daughter was having an extremely hard time seeing. The teachers each knew my daughters name and also knew the parents on a first hand basis. Mrs. Proskin has an amazing heart and has nothing but the best intentions for each and every one of her students! This school hands down was recommended to me and I recommend them as well. You wouldn’t regret your decision using them! ❤️

My son attended MUM preschool for 3 years. Each year the teachers were great. He learned so much and he loved it there. They really care about the children trusted in their care. The family nights and end of… year events are well planned and so special! We really miss going there now that kindergarten has begun! Wonderful school and I have recommended it to friends of mine!

I have had an amazing experience with MUM preschool! My son has gone there for the past two years and will be in the 5 day pre-k program next year. He was very nervous his first year in the two year old class because he had separation anxiety and the teachers were so loving and worked with him everyday- holding him and comforting him until he was ready. He was so prepared from his year in the two's that last year in the three year old class he jumped in on the first day and had a great time! I highly recommend this school!

MUM Preschool has a long history of offering a great preschool experience. My son is now 12 and went to MUM preschool for 2 years. The teachers were excellent. We love the fact that the staff is very loving and really care about the kids. I continue to hear families speak of their special times at MUM preschool. I highly recommend this school.
