A: We encourage you to book your first class online as class size is limited, just follow the link here, or book a private training appointment here. We offer two intro specials; First Class Special which is $15 and includes hand wraps, or Two Week Trial, which includes two personal training sessions and unlimited access to classes for 14 days from your first visit for $99.
Brian found his way to boxing via martial arts, specifically Jeet Kun Do and then Muay Thai Boxing. His athletic career started with wrestling and weight training in High School. He then moved on to a variety of martial arts such as Karate, Choy Lee Fut, Jeet Kun Do, Ju Jitsu, Sanshou, Muay Thai, America Kickboxing and Western Style Boxing.
Boxers condition for optimal agility, speed, muscular endurance, accuracy, balance, hand-eye coordination, footwork and overall strength to defend against and overcome opponents. After a dynamic warm up you will drill combinations on the bag and work conditioning on the floor for a whole body work out.
Personal training is the fastest and most effective way to get the results you are looking for. The coaches at Santa Cruz Boxing have skills that you will rarely find at any other gym. I moved away from the mountains several months ago, and Santa Cruz Boxing is one of the things I miss most about living there! I've never been much of a gym person, but I found myself actually excited to get up and come to class. Brian, Suzie, Jessica, and Robert all have a gift for being able to kick your butt while making you laugh (seriously, I mean it... try holding a plank or wall sit while someone tells you dad jokes). They take the time to learn students' names and provide great feedback. At one point my wrist was a little funky; Brian worked with me to improve my form, and remembered

My review is long over due here! I joined Santa Cruz Boxing sometime ago and i really did not know what I would be in for. Brian, Suzie and Robert are amazing instructors and I have learned so much about my personal fitness! Great spot to train! Dig the variety of classes, and different styles of the teachers. Only gone to 3 classes so far, really dug the one Kayanu taught. I was sore for like 2 days after. They had some good tips on how to kick more powerfully. Will be back for more, great gym, chill environment, really good teachers!

I cannot recommend SC Boxing highly enough! I am in week 5 of the 6-week best self challenge and it's been an awesome experience. Brian is a stellar instructor - he gives clear instructions and demos, structures the arc of the course really well (increasing difficulty as we progress), stays on time, and is motivating without being annoyingly over enthusiastic. I look forward to class every time. And Charlie is the best gym dog! Love him.

Not only have I gained strength, balance and confidence, I've also gained a great outlet for stress. My M-W-F classes have become a happy habit; so much so, that I feel guilty if I have to miss one. I have a long way to go, but I am thoroughly enjoying the process. I have been going to Santa Cruz Boxing for about 6 months and it has been the best fitness experience of my life. I have been running to stay in shape for several years but it has always been hard to motivate myself to build strength. I have no interest in fighting, but boxing workouts are a lot of fun and a great way to relieve stress.
All of the instructors are friendly and they teach their classes to all skill levels. They spend extra time with beginners to make sure they are learning the basics and they get deeper into advanced techniques with the experienced students.

I completed the 6 week challenge! I can see and feel a difference in myself. Brian has been so kind and encouraging. The workouts are challenging but well worth it. I admit I was a little scared about walking into a boxing gym but all of the trainers were kind and helpful and I was able to work at my own pace. I recommend this place so highly that I have signed up to do it again and this time,I've signed my adult daughter up too!

I never would have stepped foot into a Boxing & MMA gym. Then I saw the six week challenge for women only. I was so excited to try this challenge. Brian started us out slow and we learned some kicks, punches and did a circuit like Boot Camp. Each day got a bit harder but your body adapts. Tomorrow is my last day and I feel great! I've built some muscle, core strength and feel lots of new energy. I've definitely lost inches, my clothes fit better.Its a great, fun, high intensity workout. Brian, Kelly and Robert are all great instructors! I can't wait to start the regular kickboxing

I have never seen an instructor get so happy envisioning healthy results in each of us. From day one, Brian was beaming with smiles, because he saw the potential in all of us, no matter what background or goals we had concerning skills and fitness. I truly feel he saw us reach our goals in his kick boxing introduction/ challenge course, even before the first class. Started up here a few months ago with boxing circuit classes (Brian, Robert, and Kelly) and personal training (Brian). I've been away from serious anaerobic fitness for over a decade and never boxed before. It's been awesome. I've been seriously challenged, learned a ton, and always felt welcomed. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I started training with Brian about 7 months ago. I was looking for an alternative to running because of an injury and I had done some boxing before so I know what a great workout it is. I'm also a personal trainer and was looking for someone who knew what they were doing. I wanted a great workout without the risk of further injury.
I wasn't disappointed. While I hadn't really planned on long term training, I'm still there twice per week finding myself looking forward to boxing drills, resistance training and core work. It is a brilliant addition to my current workout program

I have been wanting to get into kickboxing because I love boxing and martial arts.
My friend and I really wanted to do something more than just hike; we'd end up eating it all back LOL
So, I suggested this place since I passed it several times.
I am so glad I did;
I get to see my friend J, Brian (whose an exellent teacher), and Charlie who is the sweetest being ever.
Brian gets our goofiness and has a little Bruce Lee in him-he's kind, chill, patient, and motivated to have his students learn and learn safely.
I love doing spin kicks, the one on one training so technique improves

I started working out there a couple months ago and I absolutely love it! I used to train doing kickboxing a few years ago for at least 5 years in the bay area, I have learned way more with Brian in the 2 months @ Santa Cruz Boxing & MMA, than in the 5 years training doing Muay Thai in Milpitas.
I love the classes, the personal attention Brian dedicates to each of us, and also the non intimidating atmosphere.
I'm hooked and I'm so HAPPY I found this place for me to train consistently!

I started working out with Bryan over a year ago doing personal one on one sessions. I had wanted to try boxing for a long time but was nervous about the attitude of boxing gyms. Bryan broke that mold for me. His gym is always clean and organized. Bryan also customized a work out for me that works, he worked around the issues I have and helped me understand boxing theory, technical aspects of boxing and made me see it isn't just who can punch the hardest. I was introduced to this place from a friend, she kept on saying how awesome it was. So I drove over and talked to Brian, the owner, he seemed very nice and said my first class was free so I could check it out and I have been coming for over 3 months now. The class size makes things very personal. Plenty of room in the studio, lots of bags so no sharing needed.
