Great place to stay in the Missouri wine country. Lovingly restored building from the 1870s. Comfortable bed, wine glasses in the room for us to use and a very attentive host. The breakfast is simple but good and included hard boiled eggs, cinnamon rolls, cereals, yogurt, coffee, tea, bagels and other similar items.

Do not stay here! Our first night the bed broke. We called, no answer. We went down stairs and knocked on door several times, no answer. We were up at midnight, lifting box springs, trying to get these little boards that we're on hinges upright. We slept on edge of the very hard mattress, afraid to turn on the mattress thinking the entire bed would break. We were told since you had a bad night, I will not charge you. I will get the bed fixed or give you a different room. Okay we said. We went on to breakfast. Yes it's a bed and breakfast. Hope you like continental breakfasts, that's what it is

Can't say enough good things. My wife is pretty picky about where we stay and she absolutely loved the hotel. In fact, she wants to redecorate our house to match the hotel decor. We came up to visit my family in the area and wanted a couple days just to relax. This was the PERFECT place. In all honesty, I grew up in New Haven and knew the owners. I knew they do everything first class and the hotel is what I expected. First Class. As my wife said, "this hotel would do well in Dallas and there is obviously a ton of competition there." Jeanie was great. She truly loves her job and taking care of guests

The Central Hotel was like staying at home! The rooms are meticulously decorated, super clean and equipped with all the comforts of home! Some rooms have claw foot tubs!
Jeanne makes a great breakfast spread!
The view from the back porch are so relaxing that you never want to get up!
Take a stroll down the street to see the Missouri River flowing by.
This is a 5 diamond place to stay and I guarantee that you will be back!!

We enjoyed a three night stay there while visiting New Haven, Hermann, and Washington. Beautifully decorated and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Jeanie, our host, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Loved sitting on a couple of the porches in the shade and reading! Definitely worth another visit!
