Volunteers opportunities may include time in the classroom cleaning, helping with snack time, fundraising, special projects, and joining our board of directors. All volunteers must pass a background check prior to starting activities in the classroom. You may come by the classroom to pick up a registration packet located outside of our classroom door between the hours of 8:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Located in the La Pine Community Campus building (near La Pine High School), Rising Stars Preschool is celebrating 17 years of bringing quality preschool instruction to children ages 3-5 years old. Rising Stars Preschool's mission is to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment for children in southern Deschutes County.
The next scheduled Rising Stars Preschool Board of Directors Meeting is 10/18/21 at 6:00 pm via Zoom. Email or contact us to request a link. Please consider joining the Board of Directors for the 2021-2022 school year! It's a great way to get involved and help our school! You do not have to be a parent of a preschooler to join!
The majority of our projects are focused around the holidays and theme units. Arts and craft projects stimulate a child's mind to be creative. These activities also assist in development of fine and gross motor skills. Children also achieve a sense of pride and accomplishment through the development of projects.
I grew up in the Portland area, but always lived on the outskirts in small communities. I moved to the LaPine area in early spring of 1999 and started a family. Both of my children, a daughter and a son, are graduates of Rising Stars Preschool. As my children became more independent, I chose to return to college.

We absolutely adore Ms. Anne and Ms.T! In the beginning my daughter had difficulty adjusting and some behavioral challenges. They worked with her and supported her patiently.They also were very encouraging to this concerned, overwhelmed-at-times mama. With their guidance my daughter was able to get up to speed with the rest of her class. They even went above and beyond to help advocate for us so my daughter would have a smooth transition into Kindergarten. They do so many great activities to keep the kids engaged!!! I cannot give this school a high enough review. They are truly 5 stars plus!
