Aleta Mechtel, owner and president of Children of Tomorrow, has a life-long passion for education. Aleta knew she wanted to work with children from her first babysitting job. Since Children of Tomorrow opened in Chanhassen in 2000, Aleta has guided parents in finding the right care for their children.
Children of Tomorrow offers a wide range of programs for children that create a strong foundation, and a safe and educational experience before entering elementary school. Aleta believes in having a superior staff, focusing on exceptional academics, one-on-one interaction, and meeting each individual need of every child.

Never hear "nothing" again! What did your child do today? Now you will always know. Photos and videos of your child's day give you a view of their day at Children of Tomorrow! Daily reports keep you informed of the daily activities and learning experiences that happen while you are at work. Tadpoles is also a great way to keep informed of all the announcements, reminders and upcoming special events happening at your school!
The safety and security of your child is the most important responsibility entrusted to our centers. We understand that when you are away from your child, you must feel comfortable that your child is as safe and secure as possible. Background studies and fingerprint checks are completed on all staff prior to working in the classroom.
All of our learning centers provide a safe, loving environment where children build their development skills through educationally-based play and activities. All of our Learning Centers have clean, bright classrooms, large play areas, and were designed to feel comfortable and inspire creativity. Our classrooms are designed as a safe and secure home away from home for your child.
