F.D. Goodale Jeweler was founded by F. "Dess" Goodale in 1922. The store originally specialized in watch repair and fine china. Through the years, inventory has grown into fine gifts and jewelry as well as antique and estate jewelry. Our in-house services include jewelry repair and engraving. Though our products, services and inventory have changed, our dedication to customer service and quality workmanship is still the same.

I needed the battery replace- they had replaced it before- they used a hammer and razor to open it up, replaced the battery and the now watch doesn't work. I was told I should get a new one- my 24 year old watch that was working last week before the battery died had damage to the coil. They are the only ones to open it.

Had a sterling silver necklace repaired here. Aside from light discoloration where the solder was performed you can't even tell. Everyone I talked to was very polite and the price was very fair. They seem to be willing to work around your timeline of when you need your item back as long as it's reasonable of course.

Highly recommend going here! Mr. Goodale did an absolutely beautiful job with my wife’s wedding ring, he built it up from just a simple band and added a beautiful diamond and tipped all the prongs perfectly. He sized it and made it look brand new. He also restored my great grandmothers wedding band/jacket to match the ring I had built. It’s absolutely amazing and We couldn’t be happier with our experience here!! So thank you to Mr. Goodale, and also his staff for making our dreams come true with this ring! We appreciate every thing you’ve done to make this happen!

Very Disappointed!!! Don't use for sizing!! I took my ring there because my in-laws had purchased items from there in the past. My beautiful emerald ring is destroyed. I wanted him to size it up and now it looks mangled. I can't believe he returns items to customers in that state and then proceeds to charge us for it. I called and the person was sorry and told me to bring it back and he would fix it. Why would I bring it back if you couldn't do it right the first time. Update: they did refund the money that was paid so I gave him back another star. Had the ring fixed by a reputable jeweler.

I have been a local customer for many years. This store is by far the most professional jewelry store I have ever seen. Mr. Goodale has been in business since 1922. His father started this company and he has followed in his footsteps for many years. Everything I have purchased and all of my jewelry repairs have been top notch. If you’re looking for estate jewelry you have come to the right place. The staff are warm and welcoming and go out of their was to make sure you are satisfied. I only shop here!!!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS JEWELER! I wish I had the option to not give them a star at all. I had an issue where a prong on my engagement ring had caught on something and had lifted up and needed to be pushed back down to hold in my main diamond. The jeweler told me he was going to just replace all 4 prongs for me. Trusting his judgement, I agreed to the alterations. When I handed my ring over to the jeweler he looked at it and told me the design was wasteful because it has diamonds on the sides of the bands. He then continued to pass my ring around to the ladies working there to show them the design
