We are bankruptcy attorneys! Meaning bankruptcy is our primary area of practice. We pride ourselves on our knowledge of bankruptcy law and we do our job well. Bankruptcy is serious step that has real consequences. Bankruptcy is also a relatively complicated area of law. It is important that you choose to work with attorneys who have real experience practicing bankruptcy law.
Chapter 7 bankruptcy is the type of bankruptcy most people think of when they think of bankruptcy. Chapter 7 is the quickest and easiest type of bankruptcy where you simply file and discharge the debts that you can discharge, and are left with any debts that could not be discharged. You don't pay any debts back, you walk away from the debts you can walk away from and you are done.
A chapter 13 entails a monthly payment to the court, for 3 to 5 years, to pay back certain debts, not necessarily all of your debts. Chapter 13 is a long, serious commitment. One downside with a chapter 13 is the higher attorney fees and court costs over time. You will also face limitations getting credit and financing while in a chapter 13.
In chapter 7, although the amount attorneys fees will vary from office to office, court fees are always the same. Also, court fees and attorney's fees are always paid up front to the attorney prior to filing. Attorneys are required to take these payments up front because they are prohibited by law from collecting payments from you after you file.

Ms. Baro is an excellent attorney. Caring, thorough, professional and always available. She handled my bankruptcy in March of 2015 and it went smoothly. When it was time to go to court, I told her I had a phobia of driving on Hwy 70 and in the City of St. Louis and she said to meet her at her office and I could ride with her! Now where else can you get this kind of compassion and service? Nowhere! So recently my sister told me she may need to file bankruptcy and I sent her directly to Baro Law Firm and she is also pleased with Ms. Baro!

I was referred to this law firm and I can absolutely say I would recommend them. Ms. Baro is thorough, honest, to the point and kind. My past experience with an attorney was decent, however the response time to my emails/questions and downright sincerity is more than I could have expected. The gentleman who greeted me and is working on my case as well was the exact same. You will not be disappointed if you choose this firm.

So I called in today asking for information on how bankruptcy works. I gave him a bit of details about what was going on and I asked him how the process works so if I file did I need to do this did I have to go all the way through with it or just could I file and then figure it out. The gentleman on the phone was flat-out rude and was like well we're a reputable company and I have no interest in discussing this anymore with you and hung up on me. He was rude and I can see why they only have a three-star review on here. This is coming from somebody who literally only has $600 in debt and was just
