The woman who was helping me was so kind and patient. She really helped my anxiety around sticking my fingers in my eye. The staff was super kind and helpful. Theres usually a bit of a wait before I'm called but its perfectly okay, the kindness of the staff more than makes up for it. I hope all of you have a wonderful day.

My last Eye Doctor dismissed me and Dr. Farrah was really assuring and gentle and took his time and listened I loved the visit.

Noel is super sweet. The ladies at the check-in are friendly. The individuals working in optical/the frames, need some work. They are the first faces you see when you walk in, they should be greeting EVERYONE. This was my second visit this week, both times I wasn't greeted. Only the female had patients at her desk. So what's the excuse for the others? I've worked in busy doctors offices. I understand wanting to get work done. It just takes 3 seconds to look up & smile. The doctor, she's great with kids & very kind. For sure coming back because of her and Noel, along with the rest of the back staff

I have known Dr. Ferrera for over 10 years and many Pearlevision companies he's worked with, even have a little work experiences with some. I have to say that the attitude, support, love and care that is put into the eye exam and materials for the glasses and contacts is still over 100% amazing. There are only a few great experiences in life that you can always count on and say that it changed your life...and these experiences are in my top 3. Dr Ferrara and his team always make our experience comfortable, informative, and very helpful. My wife and I feel well taken care of, with their extremely thorough evaluation process. I was so skeptical of trying another eye place after my horrible experience at America's Best the other day, but I'm so so glad I decided to not place everyone in a category! Everyone was pleasant and everyone was so kind and helpful! Informative and caring. I didn't have an appointment (I made one for my son) and as I was asking to make one because I know they were busy and they fit me right in so that I could be with my son! I was so thankful. They took their time to explain everything and what my insurance covered and even gave me discounts due to me being a veteran I would recommend

Dr. Ferrara is the best. He’s super engaging and great with kids. He obviously loves what he does and takes great care of us. His staff is very friendly as well and he takes the time to answer any questions we have. We’ll be coming back as long as we can.

Today when I went I had an amazing time picking out my new specs after my annual visit with the doctor. Robin helped me pick out a beautiful new pair and we… laughed and had a great time together! Dr.Ferrara is awesome.Been going to him for 15 years.Hard to find a doctor that actually listens and just doesn't go through the motions.Staff is great Prices are by far the best.

I went to Joyful Eyecare for contacts and glasses and they found the best deal for me and made it very afforadble for me on a college budget! Haha! Also the doctor and nurses were extremely sweet and helpful! Definitely would recommend !

I went and had my eyes checked and tried contacts for the first time. The staff sat with me and explained how to put them in, take them out and properly clean them. Super nice staff and very patient.The doctor sat and took the time to explain everything to me so I got all the information and understood. Will definitely be going back!

Dr. Ferrara has been my optometrist since I moved to Virginia Beach in 2014. His extreme professionalism and witty personality makes every visit worth while. The best part about Joyful Eyecare is there promptness and respect for your time. If your appointment is at 3p, you will be able to be seen at 3p. I also love the fact that they have later appointments for working adults as well. The office staff is very friendly and personable which I love.

A clean, comfortable oasis in Mall. I went for a contact lens fitting and saw Dr. Ferrara, who was thorough, asked good questions, and was very nice to boot. Great prices--and they kept their word about a deal they had promised on the phone when I made the appointment. Recommended.

I love this place!!! The receptionist were so helpful! They asked many questions and seemed so concerned with my eye issues. Dr. Ferra is great and he's always willing to help with any issue that arise even if you're not in the office at the time or have an appointment! He even called and left me a message on what we could do and put in prescription eyedrops for me to pick up.
The solution to my eye issues... allergies..... allergic conjunctivitis.... needed Antibiotics to calm them down and a big break from makeup....

I've been a patient of Dr. Ferrara for about 5 years now and I have nothing but absolute trust, respect and compliments for him. In January for my annual eye exam, I raised a concern with my left eye being in pain. He reassured me that it's nothing to be worried about as my eyes are healthy but to keep maintaining proper soft lenses/eye hygiene and giving my eyes a break from time to time by wearing my eyeglasses. He also mentioned that if something comes up, to just come visit him again, free of charge.

To begin, I was seen 25 minutes late for an 11am appointment. There was only one (1) patient in front of me. No one made mention of the time I was waiting to be seen, there was no acknowledgement / sense of urgency.

During my exam, persons were walking IN AND OUT of the exam room. The exam was obviously with the lights out, so opening the door, messed with my eyes and we had to start over. At one point, the Dr. asked if I could read the chart on the wall . . . ---um, no . . . there are two people standing in front of it. No excuse me, no pardon the interruption . . . it was as if interruptions

The staff here are a so amazing. I really like them. They are friendly, efficient, accommodating and are really here to serve you.

Daniel C. Ferrara, O.D. is the best. He's got a fantastic personality and is very knowledgeable in his field. He answers all of my questions and goes over everything in great detail. If you have any concerns, feel free to voice them, they wont make you feel stupid. I always leave feeling good about my visit and I can't imagine going to another office.

A Nice little office with friendly staff located in Pembroke Mall. Dr. Daniel Ferrara was very pleasant and professional and the office was clean and the equipment was up to date. I was pleased with the attention I received from the Doc as he took the time to ask questions and go over his results and explained different phases of the eye exam as it progressed. Probably the most comfortable I have felt at an eye doc and I hate going to the eye doctor like most people hate the dentist.
