Dr. Melissa Black provides comprehensive eye examinations, treatment of ocular disease, surgical co-management, and emergency care. Dr. Black is residency trained in ocular disease, specializing in early diagnosis and prompt treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and various retinal disorders.

Dr. Melissa Black is a residency trained board-certified optometric physician who has been providing comprehensive eye care in Venice, Florida for over 15 years. She practices compassionate eye care, which includes full eye examinations, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, surgical co-management, contact lens fitting, and emergency care.

I was on vacation near Sarasota, FL and ended up losing a contact and foolishly forgot to pack a spare set. I called around to multiple eye clinics and Suncoast EyeHealth was the only one able to help me get contacts on short notice without having to schedule an appointment for a new prescription. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, so grateful for their generosity!
