As a medical eye doctor, Dr. McKinney is one of area's leading cataract surgeons. As an optometrist, Dr. Poh fits specialty contact lenses and sees children as young as 6 months old. This is true in all we do as we aim to provide quality services relation to Eye Care, Eye Disease, and Skin Care. We strive to stay at the forefront of technology and products offered and used during services.
Services
Dr. McKinney joined Dr. Richard A Conroy back in August of 2005. He wanted to join a practice that held strong ethical values while putting the patients first. In 2012, Dr. Conroy decided to retire to travel and spend time with his kids and grandkids. We still see him and retirement suits him well.
Macular degeneration is a condition in which the layer of pigmented cells that supports the macula, the nerve found at the center of the retina that gives us our 20/20 vision, begins to show signs of wear and tear. With time small deposits begin to develop under the macula that not only decrease one's vision but may allow blood vessels that normally reside behind the layer of pigmented cells to protrude through and become leaking.
Because many different types of glaucoma exist, treatment depends upon the type of glaucoma present as well as a variety of other factors. In many patients, the disease is not noticed in the early stages, because there is no pain and no noticeable change in vision. Early detection by an eye doctor is the key to the prevention of vision damage from glaucoma.
As we grow older, it is more common to experience flashes when rising to your feet after a long night's sleep due to changes in blood pressure rather than a posterior vitreous detachment. Another type of flash is that which is associated with migraines. It appears as jagged lines or "heat waves" in both eyes forming a semicircle arc in the peripheral vision, typically up and out, often lasting 10-20 minutes.
The following is the definition of Dry Eye Disease according to 150 of the world's leading experts in the Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society or TFOS. The above definition and chart are not necessarily there for you to understand but to visualize and understand the complexity of the disease and its many different components of the disease.

Dr. Mc Kinney is great! Did both of my cataract surgeries and it only took about ten minutes each! I felt no pain and the next day, my vision was absolutely better! No longer need my glasses….only cheaters for close up! I definitely would recommend Oasis and Dr. McKinney!

This is the first time I have felt hopeful that I will get relief for my eyes. I have very dry eyes but all the tear treatments from other opthamologists didn’t resolve anything. Now I am getting IPL and already feel my eyes have improved.
Dr McKinney is knowledgeable and not afraid to step out of his comfort zone in order to learn a new treatment. His staff are all very nice too. Highly recommend.
Update:
I am still a patient at this practice and I still highly recommend the whole group. They take the time to give me great service and i feel I will continue to be in good hands.

I’m a new patient and selected this practice based on the positive reviews. Dr Brocado and his staff are all highly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. My basic eye exam was “very” thorough, not rushed and, clear explanations of the tests, processes and results were made along the way by both the Dr and the staff. The level of care I received and the attention to detail was exceptional. Perhaps most importantly, I felt that my eyesight concerns were acknowledged, understood, and addressed and that a clear plan had been presented for my next steps. My expectations were exceeded. Thank

This was one of the best places I have ever gone for my eyecare. Making the appointment over the phone to checking in I was pleasantly pleased! Dr. Alex Brocato and Kim were also amazing during the eye exam but honestly every person in that facility is knowledgeable and kind. Highly recommend
