We have been so proud to have the opportunity to work with your son or daughter to guide them in their early childhood and prepare them for future school experiences. We created many beautiful memories together with your children then, and are continuing to make more memories with children we have now.
Forest Hills Preschool places great emphasis on the selection of teachers who are professionally trained, warm and nurturing. We are responsive to the needs of our staff. We provide a supportive atmosphere to our staff through training, education, recognition and financial incentives that encourages every staff member to reach their full potential.
Each classroom is designated for a specific age group, designed with the developmental needs and age-appropriate activities of each group in mind. We pride our selves on providing a safe environment for every child; classrooms are open and unobstructed, allowing for a wide scope of visibility for supervising teachers.
A significant portion of the remodel done in 2007 involved improving and updating our outside play areas. Infants, toddlers and twos enjoy the play areas closest to the building, with age-appropriate play structures and rubber surfaces covering a large part of the area for safety and ease of play, as well as a sandbox for older toddlers.
Gardens are an excellent tool in our approach to incorporate fun into every aspect of learning. Basic concepts of science and biology become tangible and accessible through interactive gardening outdoors and bringing these concepts to the classroom for further exploration. Besides, the children love to enjoy the delicious fruits of their labor!
