At VisualEyes Optometrist, our goal is to provide our patients the most comprehensive and thorough eye exam possible. Corporate chain optometrists schedule their patients every 15 minutes, where at VisualEyes Optometrists we allow 30 minutes for a relaxed and not hurried eye exam. Our doctors take time and care to make sure our patients are completely satisfied with the exam process.

Our experienced eye doctors offer comprehensive vision examinations at our Alexandria optometry office and specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of eye diseases, conditions, and problems.
Vo is a great doctor, but I was extremely irritated that they charge $50 to give me the PD, something which BY LAW they need to write on the prescription form. The prescription/eye exam is an $85 charge, and you're going to wring more money from me for the PD? Unethical and greedy. Doctor was terrific and efficient.
If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or a Health Savings Account (HAS), don't wait until the last week of December to take care of yourself and your vision. We'll be happy to consult you regarding your FSA or HAS coverage limits and how to file your claim. Do that as soon as possible.
Every year vision care providers get swamped with December appointment requests by people panicking about running out of time to use their "use or lose" FSA dollars.Those of you with HSA accounts enjoy the benefit of those dollars rolling over. Regardless, the seasonal rush for eye care late in the calendar year limits your appointment time flexibility and adds yet another appointment to your already hectic Holiday schedule.

I was a patient for three years. I liked the eye doctors I saw but felt like they were just using the exam to validate what machines said and not really interested in listening to me. I've never seen the optometrist I actually made the appointment with. But the real reason I chose to go elsewhere is that the support staff are terrible. They "lost" contacts I ordered and paid for for 1.5 months, forget to charge for something every time, refused to adjust glasses I didn't purchase from them, and made me feel bad for choosing to not purchase contacts or frames from them (even though the doctors gave

This review is for Dr. Ogden at the Arlington VA Visual Eyes. She was excellent! Extremely professional, thorough and very patient with my 2 elementary school kids. She performed the exams for them back to back and then examined my dilated eyes afterwards. Highly recommend for adults and especially for young kids. Two thumbs up!

After coming here for 3 years I can only speak to my experiences with one of the Optometrists, Dr. Vo, who is great. However, the customer service staff is unfortunately not so great. All of my interactions with them seem to be "bothering" them. Also they can never seem to get glasses or contacts in on schedule. The most egregious example of this was the last time my wife got glasses from them. The glasses were more than 3 weeks late and the staff never updated us on what was going on. Once we began to call in asking what was going on, it was just excuse after excuse blaming the lab they contract

The Dr’s working at this location are great, but the customer service and front desk representatives are so terrible, I refuse to go back here (and I can walk). From forgetting to pick back up while on hold, to not calling back during emergency situations, and just down right rude behavior from the admin assistants, I do not recommend going here. It’s a shame, but the customer service aspect has been consistently bad for the last two years.

My “expensive” prescription eyeglasses fell to the ground and were stepped on. The frame was crushed (on one side). I called and was told to come on in. They are not my regular optometrists. In fact, I have never been there before. 5 mins or less later my glasses were restored to almost new (besides a speck on the glass). I was so relieved. How much I asked..... nothing they say. What? 5 stars is the very least I could do to say Thank You for their excellent service and wonderful work!!!

Amazing staff!
I am a bit shocked by the bad reviews. The staff here went absolutely out of their way to help me, and I am not even a client. Mia in particular was amazing! I was in a pinch, I had screwed up and not picked up my partners contacts in time for an international trip. They were ordered and paid for at another location that wouldn't be open until hours after her flight left. I desperately called around town looking for anyplace that would help me, no place would. :(
Finally I called VisualEyes and Mia rather than saying "tough luck" as that other 20+ places I called did she was like
