Dr. Weiss is absolutely lovely. It was my first time to his practice, and I was very pleased with the level of service and friendliness exhibited by all of the staff. I also very much appreciated the fact that Dr. Weiss does not pressure you to purchase glasses or contact lenses from his office, but is rather there to help or provide care in any way he can.

Dr. Weiss is seriously amazing. I made an appointment for an annual exam, during which he asked if I had a family history of vision impairments. My mom has macular degeneration and he went out of his way to show me a model of the eye and symptoms to look for in case I inherit the disease. He also gave me a (much needed) updated prescription and adjusted my glasses for free. I never had a doctor who was interested in teaching me about medicine before. He took his time and seemed to genuinely care about my health. Needless to say, he's the best. If you have a chance to book an appointment,

Called to set up an eye exam and they got me in the next day. Dr. Schand(and I might be spelling that wrong) was very friendly and explained everything she was doing and everything she was looking for during the examination. The receptionists were very helpful as well in deciphering my insurance information and explaining what was covered. They also helped save me some money by letting me know about a rebate that was happening for the contacts I bought. I would recommend anyone in the Rosslyn area that has a need for glasses or contacts come here.

I feel like I'm being punished for coming early for my appointment. Coming 15 min early, and they said Dr. Weiss still with a "patient" 5 min later, there's someone coming in and straight to Dr.Weiss' office! I saw review that the other doctor was more efficient in taking her patient. So I might try her next time (assuming she's still here).

I went to see Dr. Schad at this office for my annual eye exam and saw Dr. Weiss for a LASIK consultation. Dr. Schad was by far the better doctor - she was efficient and knowledgeable and very thorough in her responses and explanations. Dr. Schad saw me right away whereas with Dr. Weiss he was slower and I had to wait a bit in the lobby. Dr. Weiss answered my questions as well but not to the extent or details Dr. Schad would go into. I'd recommend scheduling an appt with Dr. Schad instead since she's in the same office.

They participate in the EyeMed program providing $5 annual check ups for federal employees enrolled in GEHA dental. I was in and out in under 25 minutes. Very efficient, quick, and friendly service. It even included a glaucoma check and an exam of your ability to focus your eyes. Very high tech and clean. Very convenient location above the metro station on the third floor of the mall. They accepted credit card and handled all the paperwork with no issues. Dr. Shaw is also very friendly.

Dr. Weiss is the best optometrist I've ever been to. His eye exams are careful and thorough, and he takes useful case notes for anything he notices that may require follow-up. When I was overseas and needed a letter from his office, they were quick to help and very supportive. And when you're choosing and fitting your frames, Charity H. will give thoughtful and resourceful advice whether you're choosing them from their very good in-house selection or looking further afield.

I broke my frame and it was hard for me to use old glasses with old specifications. they helped me to find a way to get it replaced with keeping the cost minimal- and that ends up with everything to be covered from my insurance to have a new frame without paying anything out of my pocket. they listen, understand and help customers. THANKS A LOT.
Highly recommend.

I've been going to Dr. Weiss ever since I moved to the DC-area about 5 years ago. I have never had a bad experience at his office. The environment is clean and the equipment is state of the art. The staff is very courteous and professional. Their selection of frames is great. Etc. If you're looking for a good eye doctor, I absolutely recommend his practice.

I've been wearing glasses or contacts for the past 30 years. In my "expert patient opinion:" The service provided by Dr. Weiss and his office is exceptional! He's a brilliant doctor and the eye examinations are thorough. If you ask, he'll explain each procedure step by step and the customer service that is provided by the ladies at the front desk is first class. I won't be going to another optometrist unless he retires!

Dr. Weiss is a friendly and outstanding optometrist. One of his other patients referred me and I'm so glad I went to him. I had never had an eye exam before, and Dr. Weiss was very patient and informative of every step of the process which helped me relax. He was also very thorough in explaining the results and implications of my eye exam afterwards.
Additionally, Dr. Weiss and his staff were very helpful in explaining my insurance coverage so I fully understood my financial responsibility and options. His staff helped me select appropriate glasses and fit them comfortably. Really appreciate

I'm so glad I found Dr. Weiss. He is now my go-to eye doctor in the DC area. I was due for my biannual eye exam and new pair of glasses, and I found Dr. Weiss because his office accepted my newly purchased insurance. He is clearly a skilled and practiced optometrist, and he was very amiable and friendly while performing my eye exam.
After being given my prescription, I picked out a great pair of glasses. While selecting what type of lenses I wanted, I never felt like I was being upsold. In fact, I felt that Dr. Weiss's assistants were honest as to what were good options and what were

Dr. Weiss is an outstanding optometrist and his staff is first rate. I recently purchased a new pair of progressive glasses there. Charity, one of his staff members, spent time with me to help me to pick out a good frame. Charity really cared that I was happy with my purchase and was available for follow-up questions and adjustments.
I highly recommend this smaller optical shop, particularly if you tend to be picky (as I am) about having glasses that are "just right." Kudos to Dr. Weiss, Charity, and the other folks there.

Although this isn't my regular eye doctor, I called and got an appointment that same day after I explained that I got some foreign bodies trapped under my eyelid. The lady at the front desk was very knowledgeable about my medical insurance,
The optometrist who took care of me immediately found: the two foreign objects under my eyelid (two pieces of exfoliant from my face wash which I've since thrown out), a scratch on my cornea, and symptoms of allergies. She prescribed me eye drops for my allergies and antibiotic drops to prevent infection from the scratch. She patiently explained

I wish this place would get there system together!! I call once every few months to fill my contact prescription. Every time without fail I have to go through a process of them finding my prescription. After 10 minutes of them fumbling with cards like the Dewey Decimal system, they find my card and I'm able to get my prescription.

Dr. Weiss is like the Mr. Rogers of eye doctors. Not because he sings, but because he immediately puts you at ease and wins your trust - deservingly so.
I'm very picky about eye doctors. I'm Asian, a.k.a. practically born near sighted, so I've worn glasses (then contacts) for as long as I remember. This means the eye doctor needs to be competent, because I need to not be blind and be able to drive myself places, and personable, because for the amount of time I spend at eye checkups, I just gotta like my doctor! Dr. Weiss? Check, and check.

I called the Doctor's office at 9:30 am on a Monday because a contact had rolled into the top of my eye socket. The receptionist was courteous and helpful and encouraged me to come over right away. I walked in and was with the Doc within 60 seconds. It took him all of 5 minutes to correct the problem and he sent me on my way insisting that I owed him nothing. This is professionalism that you don't see everyday. If you're looking for a new Eye Doctor - look no further. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Excellent Doctor. I see no reason to give him anything less than 5 stars.
This was my first time with Dr.Weiss, I reached a little early before my appointment time and the doctor me took me before my scheduled time. The best part was only one page of insurance details to be filled out.
Since it was just an annual examination,I was following what he asked me to. Went through a series of screening tests. He makes you feel very calm and relaxed and does not rush at all for examination. He is more than willing to answer all your doubts. He also showed my pictures of both my eyes and explained to

After my eye exam with Dr. Weiss, I came back to the office to check if Dr. Rothman in New York was in-network through my new vision insurance with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield. It turns out she was in-network, and I should have set up an appointment with her to get all my usual tests. But, regardless the eye examination and experience with Dr. Weiss was not too bad.
Pros:
Absolute zero wait time (compared to the horrendous wait time at Manhattan Vision Associates in New York)
Disposable sunglasses for dilated eyes
Dr. Weiss preforms all the preliminary diagnostic tests himself

I've gone here two years in a row, and I'll happily go back next year. The selection of frames isn't as great as one of the big chains, but they haven't tried to pressure me into buying frame from them, they just give me the prescription and I go to the mall to get the actual glasses. If you work any where in the area it is really convenient, and importantly to me, they take more insurance plans than the chain places.
The doctor works quickly, but he is thorough and very pleasant. Overall I'd gladly recommend this place.
