Sam is an awesome divorce attorney! I can say enough about how much I appreciate him- especially after wasting a bunch of money and time with not 1, but 2 different law firms that did not deliver on their promises. Simply put, Sam is head and shoulders above his peers in family law. Sam got results, as he navigated an incredibly complex, multi-state custody case. I personally hired 6 separate attorneys from 3 separate states during a multi-year case. I was looking for a result, not a service. I can't say enough about working with Sam. I can't emphasize enough how much I would recommend Mr Solodar. From start to finish, he was professional but friendly, patient and understanding, and 110% supportive throughout what is a generally horrible experience. Sam takes a peaceful, yet firm approach to litigation. I always felt such relief after speaking with Sam on the phone or in person. I felt safe, understood and really taken care of with him. I had a crisis right before trial and Sam reacted as always, with care and compassion. I tripped and fell hard onto the corner edge of a low table with nothing to break my fall and was told after an ER trip that there was a "chest wall contusion" a.k.a bruised rib. It was Saturday night and the long-awaited trial was Monday morning. Here's part of the email I sent him after he reset the trial date - I can't put a review into better words,

The first time I met Sam I was nervous, worried, scared and not sure how the whole custody battle would turn out. Since I talked to a few other attorneys before him and I wasn't feeling comfortable with them and had my doubts. After speaking with him I felt so much better I felt I was able to talk to him about everything what was going on. He explains everything very well, good listener and is straight forward he definitely stayed calm when my ex was getting upset. I was very pleased with him and would recommended him to anyone.

When I called Mr. Solodar in regards to my upcoming divorce, I found him to be rude, irritable, and judgmental. He barely listened to anything I said before advising a complete and unconditional surrender in the face of underwhelming forces. I prefer lawyers who tell you the lay of the land rather than what you want to hear, but Mr. Solodar's cut-and-run attitude and abrasive demeanor are not things I want in a lawyer. I also found his advice questionable from a legal perspective, based on my conversations with other lawyers on this matter. Maybe he was having a bad day when I called him

I've dealt with a few different attorneys in the past, and Sam definitely tops the list. My case was settled more quickly than I expected, and also more favorably for me than I expected. I couldn't have been happier. He is clearly very knowledgeable. He was also very responsive, more so than I've seen from any other attorney. At no point did I feel like I wasn't an important client, and everything throughout the whole process was explained to me very well, so I never felt in the dark about what was going on with my case. UPDATE (11/23/15): My divorce is finalized, and Sam exceeded my expectations. It's been a long process, but I am so glad he guided me through these tough waters. As my ex and I were negotiating the terms of our divorce, Sam was excellent. He made sure we picked and chose our battles. He also took time to explain every aspect of the proposal.
