At William C Althoff DDS, each member of our dentistry team is hand-selected by Dr. Althoff based upon his or her credentials, chair-side demeanor, and passion for providing the very best in personalized dental care. Dr. William Althoff completed undergraduate work at Northern Illinois University with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He was accepted at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago to attend a year of training in Medical Technology.
Upon completion of his certification by The American Society of Clinical Pathologists, he worked as a Medical Technologist in the chemistry departments of the University of Illinois and later Lutheran General Medical Centers.In 1980 he was accepted by the Washington University Dental School in St Louis, attended for a month and transferred to the University of Illinois Dental School in Chicago where he graduated in 1984.

My family and I have been patients for nearly twenty years. Dr. Althoff is knowledgeable, personable and gentle. He treats both children and adults. Working alongside him are the experienced assistants who are also available to translate services into Spanish. I gladly drive the distance for this quality of care and reliability in service. (I look forward to seeing the picture grins on the ceiling tile above the dental chair).
