Rayne Fernandez is a graduate from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, with a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She incorporates her training in massage, Asian bodywork, Qi Gong, meditation, Reiki, and herbology in order to provide a comprehensive holistic approach to healing. She has worked several years in the clinic, providing acupuncture to the San Diego community, the Veteran's clinic, as well as a few humanitarian efforts. While attending PCOM, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry.

This modality dates back 700 years to the Ming dynasty. It is a scrapping technique which utilizes an object with a smooth edge, preferably a porcelain spoon or a specialized gua sha tool made of buffalo horn or jade. Oil or liniment is applied to the skin, and the tool is used to gently scrap the surface.
Here is a great Qigong video by Mimi Kuo-Deemer, on maintaining overall physical health. Pay no attention to the onlookers, it is the exercise forms and her explanation of the movements that is the key. Do these exercises daily for a few minutes for each form, or you can start off slowly and do 1 form per day, and alternate throughout the week until you have mastered all the forms.
