First thing- Heather Uptown U reviewed AMSI and she WORKS FOR AMSI!!
My review is late but I hope to help someone nevertheless. I got into a mess between Heather and Birsen (in San Francisco) via being sent to San Diego for work. (I am SO THANKFUL my employer has pull in the market to sway agents from bad behavior).
I bounced around prospects with Heather and ended up in Little Italy- AMSI is soooo sweet and helpful while you are looking for a place... Then it changes when you sign a contract.

Heather has been my property manager for 3 years. She kept my property at nearly 100% occupancy the whole time and coordinated the transition from one tenant to the next very well and made it her own mission to make the place perfect for each tenant.

I've received GREAT customer service and SUPERB communication from my booking agent/property manager Heather Upton at AMSI. She goes out of her way and dedicates a truly insane amount of detail to making my place perfect for incoming tenants...not to mention the cleanup and quick turnaround time in between tenants. A LOT of things she could probably delegate to someone else or just flat out not do (bc others wouldn't think are important) she will do herself until it meets her high standards. Beyond all that, my place has gone virtually 100% occupied....so the cash flow is consistent

I agree with Phillip C.-- Owners beware! My property was damaged by AMSI's tenant (human urination in couch and feces on walls among other things) and I could not even get Kate to take my call or meet me at the property. I had to file a complaint with the BBB and I still never received reimbursement for a new couch. They claimed I owed them money which is false. Kate is very unorganized, does not communicate with the owners, and I also had a complaint from one of the tenants saying he could not get in contact with her as well. Additionally, she keeps high vacancy rates, does not communicate

I have used AMSI since 2006 and have had a mix of good and bad property managers including dishonest ones on a couple of occasions - in one case subletting our place and in the other case, missing furniture. They do a mediocre job of vetting tenants. Overall, not a good service and I wish I had switched them out earlier - but didn't know of any good alternatives until recently. Switching from AMSI.

I'm an owner of a vacation rental in down town San Diego. I've been working with AMSI for the past few years and they are great! They are good at what they do and their prices are fair, better than most property managers I've worked with down town. Before AMSI we used VRBO for some of our leases and in early 2016 they rolled out tons of ridiculous fees and junk charges to us owners and guests so I'm using their site less and less these days; I'd rather use a management company like AMSI and get the rent I'm owed without all the ridiculous fees! Owners beware! My condo agency fined me 3-4x for short term rentals and advertising that are against policy and did so despite my warning. All I asked was agent to attend a 15 minute meeting with me and he no showed. Just 15 minutes! Agency claimed that there was one tenant the entire time. I was very believing. However agency would not provide documentation or attend condo agency hearing. HOA stated cars constantly changes in parking spot and provided rental ads at a $300 nightly rate, this was ~10x my rate. agency claimed that this is the only way that they could advertise on a website but &apos

I used this company when I was relocating from the east coast. Veronica Gore was very accommodating to my needs and requirements for the place I was looking for. We were delayed showing up to check in and she was also very patient about the delay. The customer service experience I received was excellent.

Don't expect attention or good treatment. As a service company, seems that AMSI forget the basic rule of marketing: customer satisfaction should be the focus. We were disappointed with our real estate agent. She knew we would need to rent one more place after the first month and she just didn't care. We tried some communication, but she was not helpful or responsive. Even after this negative experience and because they work with a lot of properties in San Diego, we kept trying with two other employees, but in the end of the day, we had the same result: frustration. They don't pay

2nd year at San Diego condo location nearby Gaslamp district. Great time for vacation, Comic-Con, and enjoying San Diego hotspots. I love the fact restaurants, bars, malls, and grocery stores are close enough to location. Great location to Petco park, convention center, and 30 minutes from most theme parks.
The condo has washer and dryer, full kitchen (dishes, dishwasher, pots and pans, refrigerator), living room, dining area, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and patio. With grocery stores so close, my group didn't have to eat out as much. So, we saved on our budget and wallets.

Searched through Flipkey for July Rental in San Diego and found an amazing unit in building we have stayed before. Brandon Burho did a bait and switch and told me my unit was no longer available but had comparable unit for same price. First unit was 1150 sq feet, sleeps 6,view of convention center, 2 balconies, granite countertops very nice. His "comparable" unit listed is 933 sq ft. listed as sleeping 6 with King, Queen and Sofa. Upon arrival it sleeps 4, is weathered, needs paint, no working fire alarms, full size bed sinks to the center, view is of the street light that illuminates

I have used AMSI over the past two years for my company and let me tell you how great they are addressing my needs. Kate, one of the AMSI employees, was so attentive, accommodating, and helpful when I came into town. She help me get familiar with SD and the downtown unit they put me in was in the heart of the Gaslamp district. It was perfect in every way and location! We've been using them since. GREAT JOB!!!!

This past spring I was relocating to San Diego temporarily for work so I was out here "house hunting" over a weekend to look for a corporate furnished rental for when I arrived to start my work assignment. I contacted AMSI (I will be decent and leave the name of the associate out) about a property they had available that I found on Craigslist. Went and looked at it and a couple different units, found one I liked. Very pleasant experience, nice mannered, willing to meet on weekends, etc. The property wasn't available starting when I needed, so I agreed to sign the lease starting
