Center For Contextual Change
After 30 years in service to our communities, The Center for Contextual Change is changing and adapting. For the past three decades we have been the foremost practice in the Chicago area for trauma, abuse and interpersonal violence working with individuals, couples, families and communities. Historically our focus has been providing direct care in the form of psychotherapy helping tens of thousands of clients heal, change and grow.

At heart of our work has been the Collaborative Change Model (CCM) which was created by our Founder Mary Jo Barrett. Over the years Mary Jo and our staff have trained countless professionals and community members on how to do systemic trauma informed work and how to utilize the CCM to facilitate change.
Services
At CCC we are rooted in the Collaborative Change Model (CCM), focusing on the order in which positive change can be accomplished. Our clinicians are trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Body Inclusive/Yoga work, along with many other specialized therapeutic methodologies.
We provide individual, group, couple and family counseling services in three locations throughout the Chicago area. With a diverse clinical staff of over 20 clinicians we are able to accommodate morning, daytime and evening appointments and many of our clinicians also work weekends.

Counseling sessions are typically 50 minutes in length, however, occasionally sessions will need to be longer to facilitate family or couple sessions, or when a specific clinical intervention requires more time.During the initial sessions the focus will be put on establishing a relationship and setting realistic goals.
For over 20 years, The Center has provided opportunities for clinicians and other providers to enhance their knowledge and learn new skills. As one of the oldest and largest trauma practices in the Midwest, we are uniquely qualified to support and educate our fellow clinicians. Our clinical staff brings a multitude of perspectives and approaches and a diversity of training that we want to share with the community at large.
These documents are all secure and HIPAA compliant. Our individual, couple, and family sessions range in price from $85 - $150 for sessions with one of our full time licensed clinicians, and our group rates range from $50 to $100 per group depending on length. Because we are committed to providing services to all those who need them, we also offer reduced fee and sliding scale sessions when available.
Please feel free to contact us and we will make every attempt to respond to your inquiry within 48 hours. We are a Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO provider. Also, we accept American Express, Mastercard, Visa, and Discover. During the intake call they asked me questions about me and who I think I would work best with.

I have had several life- changing breakthroughs working with Ron Pestana. His intuitiveness and insight gives his patients a foundation for healthy change in a safe secure setting. I always leave with work to do that continues what we are currently addressing.
I cannot thank him enough for helping me!

Horrible place for men and children. The center for contextual change is run by Peg Duros who thinks it's okay to lie under oath in a divorce trial. If you are a man and a patient at the center, Peg will lie on the stand and say you're not. At least that's what she did with me.
Peg Duros also lied and said I cause my son anxiety. Peg has never observed me with my son to be able to say that truthfully.
Peg Duros will tell multiple lies in an effort to help a woman win a divorce case. Your children will lose.
Don't let the center of contextual change lie on you. Keep your kids and spouse far away
