Our Studio and our Training & Events Center are both conveniently located in the Millmont Shops, just one block behind Barracks Road Shopping Center and just two mintes away from UVA. We have a large heated practice room, a separate practice room for specialty classes, as well as male and female locker rooms with showers.

Learn more by visiting our yoga studio page. We offer a rich variety of weekly yoga classes, including Power Vinyasa, Vinyasa, Aerial, Barre, Power Sculpt, and Yin yoga. While the bulk of our schedule remains the same, we do seasonally adjust our schedule to best fit the needs of our community. Check out the schedule page for the latest updates.
Services
FlyDog Yoga is more than a yoga studio. It's a place for community, where we offer a variety of practices designed to open the heart and create the feeling of well-being. Our classes are an engaging alternative (or addition) to other forms of exercise and relaxation. Power Vinyasa Yoga is our main style of class at FlyDog Yoga.
Eliza is the Co-Founder and Director of FlyDog Yoga. She found yoga, initially, as a cross trainer for her post collegiate athletics but it was not until her husband deployed for a year in 2004 that yoga figuratively and literally showed her that she could hold herself up on her own. Eliza wants every student to feel that same possibility on and off of their mat as well.
Ten aerial silks hang in our barre room, with one reserved for the instructor to demo. Silks are adjusted to each guest's height and when they're not in use, we tie them up for our barre classes! Two sides of the room are equipped with a barre on the wall, and our slip-resistant mat floors make it much more comfortable to keep working throughout class.
FlyDog Yoga is excited to be partnered with Perkville to bring you a comprehensive loyalty rewards program! Earning points is easy, tracked automatically on your student account, and you can redeem them for classes, clothing, and even a month of unlimited yoga! Our Perkville page is accesible here: www.perkville.com/biz/7512/.
Vinyasa is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. The word Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement." In other words, you move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This technique is sometimes also called Vinyasa Flow, or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance.

Favorite studio in Charlottesville, hands down. While my work often takes me out of state for weeks at a time, I come back to FlyDog whenever I’m in town. The instructors are incredibly inclusive and motivating, and the classes are top notch. Thanks to the whole team for creating such a wonderful environment to sweat and grow in!

Positive: Professionalism, Quality
I have tried many local yoga studios and keep coming back to FlyDog. Instructors are great, classes are varied, and fellow students are kind. Would highly recommend!

Just the right mix of yoga for fitness and mind/body practice. Great teachers and community. Also appreciate the addition of Barre and Power Sculpt for muscle strength and looking forward to learning yoga on a paddle board in a lake this summer!

Flydog is the best! The staff is so welcoming and non-judgemental. Theyre knowledgeable and make the classes so much fun! The place is reasonably priced and the community is just so positive. I am so impressed with FlyDog. I usually never stick with these "introductory deals", but I will certainly be joining the FD community when my offer is up!

This place is purely magical! I could not appreciate the awesome team at FlyDog more! I have taken classes with five of their instructors in the last 30 days and they are all magical in their own special ways. Thank you does not "cut it!" Run do not walk to FlyDog!

My friends organized a private class at FlyDog for my bachelorette party weekend in Charlottesville. It was so much fun to have the studio to ourselves and Kylie was an amazing instructor. She let us have a lot of fun while still getting our zen on. Definitely recommend this studio!

Awesome private session! I hosted my sister's bachelorette in Charlottesville for 18 women and wanted to make sure we had some fun activities planned. FlyDog was very flexible with the time of the off-site session and our instructor Jennifer was lovely. Even though we had requested a sweaty work out (ambitious for an 8am on Saturday), Jennifer adjusted it to be restorative for the group. The group had a ton of fun and she provided us with some recommendations for where to go and how to get around efficiently.

Just had my first class here today with Jess N. and it was amazing! It was also my first time attending an actual yoga studio and I was really impressed with the facility and the instructor. The staff was very welcoming and gave a quick tour of the place before the class started. I truly felt challenged and renewed after the power vinyasa (heated) and was left in a pool of sweat. THANKS, JESS!!

This place not only has a great variety of classes you can take (and keep learning in each time!) but also a great community built within it. Each instructor brings their own engaging style to their class and although I come almost every day I've never felt like there's been a "routine," which is really nice. As someone who just moved here and didn't know the area too well, this has been a wonderful and warm place to be a part of.

I caveat this with the following: I have never tried yoga before and certainly looked awkward while following along. However, I found Fly Dog Yoga to be quite a positive experience. I bought the introductory unlimited month special but only made it a few times due to work travels. In just a few sessions, I realized the value of hot yoga. Eliza has a great personality and really brings more to the experience than just calling out poses. There's a great energy and positive message that she incorporates that really adds something extra in my opinion. I don't think I have sweat that much in years,

Such an awesome experience! FlyDog's instructor, Jess, led a private power yoga class for my girlfriends and I for my bachelorette party. It was an awesome class. Jess catered to all of us with varying levels of yoga experience. The newbies felt very comfortable and learned some new poses, and those of us that practice frequently were still able to be challenged. The company was great to work with to set up the private event and even brought yoga mats for us to use. Would definitely recommend FlyDog yoga!!

It's been voted the best yoga studio in Charlottesville for about a million years in a row, so there's obviously lots of people who love this place. The owner, Lizzie, loves what she does, and she seems to genuinely love each and every single customer, too. The people and the vibe is super positive without being annoyingly fake-spiritual and I like that each of the teachers has a slightly different style - it keeps things interesting. Trying a new yoga place (or anything new for that matter) can be intimidating, but you'll arrive feeling welcome and leave feeling refreshed and fantastic (sometimes

Great yoga studio. Prices are very reasonable. They have a great start up package for new clients for 30 days. You can sign up for classes online and it's very convenient. classes start and end on time. Staff are very friendly. Most importantly, they don't call you out in the middle of work outs.

Flydog is the BEST yoga studio in Charlottesville!
Eliza and Brad (the owners) are some of the nicest, warmest, friendly people. I had been searching for a studio in cville for a year that felt "right". from my first class I knew fly dog was it. The studio feels like home. The instructors are awesome! Definitely check out: Eliza, Patrick, Mary Ann, and Carly's classes they are awesome! The 6 am with Anne is also an awesome way to start your day.

Great experience and mix of people from all over Cville! Would definitely recommend to fellow students or anyone else!

I like that it is smaller and you can have more personal interactions with others...both teachers and other students.

I just moved to Charlottesville and I decided to try FlyDog Yoga for the first time. The website said to arrive early for your first class, in order to register, setup your mat and have time to relax before class. This seems reasonable as most studios suggest this. I arrived 20 minutes early since it's a holiday weekend and I figured they'd be busy. The door was locked, I guess they don't let anyone in until 15 minutes prior, which I wish I would have known. After the previous class let out, they opened the doors and a few people, including myself went in. There was no one at the

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi/yogini, you have to try FlyDog. The atmosphere has only great vibes, the teachers are wonderful, and the owners (Brad and Eliza) are extremely accommodating. They'll go to great lengths to make sure you can practice when/however is most convenient for you! Overall awesome studio.

As a beginner, I was a little concerned I would feel totally out of place (especially since the classes here are "all levels" - i.e., there are no specifically beginner classes), but that couldn't be further from true! Both the instructors and other students in the class were warm, welcoming, and the classes really are accessible for all levels. The prices are also really reasonable, and since the introductory month is only $30, there really isn't anything to lose. I'm happy to have found a place that will allow me to incorporate yoga regularly into my workout routine!

I went to FlyDog yesterday for the first time and loved it! The studio is brand new and there is so much space compared to the downtown studios I've been too. Plus there is ample parking at the studio, again something you don't get downtown. The locker room was very much appreciated so I could actually be seen in public after sweating so much.

I went to a heated vinyasa class with Patrick and really enjoyed the flow. I want a class with a challenge, that makes me sweat but also lets my mind wander some. That is exactly what I got and I can't wait for another!
