Michael Choi, DMD, is a general dentist, cosmetic dentist, prosthodontist, and implant specialist serving patients at Smile by Design Dental Group in Irvine, California. Dr. Choi earned his doctoral degree in Seoul, South Korea, in 1986. I joined Smile By Design in 2010, starting as a dental assistant. With over 11 years of dental experience, I now lead the office under Dr. Choi's direct supervision. Fluent in Korean and English, I love interacting with all the wonderful people that come through our doors. My first priority is caring for our patients.

Dr. Choi is a great dentist and Ingrid is a great dental hygienist!
I have been going there for years and I am always treated with great customer service.
Angie at the front desk is always so nice and accommodating!
All equipment is up to date and office is in a great location with plenty of parking. COVID regulations are adhered to.

Dr. Choi. He began running this place like a business, not a dentists office
I had periodontal disease and needed to schedule another appt to get a deep cleaning which would cost like $500, in addition to trying to sell me a $475 night guard that I repeatedly told them I was not interested in.
After the appointment, I reached out to my dentist from my home state and he seriously doubted that I had periodontal disease so I came in the day of my rescheduled appointment and asked for just a regular cleaning instead. I ended up going to another dentist
They are straight thieves!! and the receptionist

I've been a patient of Dr. Choi for approximately 7 years. I came to him with teeth that I prior was given mediocre care from other dentists. I even went to one dentist who refused to treat me due to the severity. Dr. Choi didn't hesitate to take me on. His knowledge and confidence is exemplary. Dr. Choi has performed crowns and implants for myself, my husband and son. I feel confident in the care I've received from him and his staff have been very kind to us.

Great doctor !!! Amazing staff!! After 5 years of being afraid of the dentist I came here due to some pain in my wisdom teeth. Dr. Choi and his RDA (registered dental assistant) Daniela were amazing. They were extremely gentle with my teeth extractions and can honestly say this is the first time I went to the dentist and I left excited to come back for my next check up!!! The environment is nice and easy going the staff really makes you feel at home all while keeping the professionalism of a work place. The staff up front was extremely welcoming and kind. 5/5 stars for me with my experience!
