Rohr Jewelry was established in 1951 by Alfred J Rohr in the city of Hays, Kansas. Al began as a watch repairman and moved into other areas of sales in coming years. Current owner Michael Rohr (son of Alfred Rohr) grew up in the jewelry business starting with minor jewelry repairs and clocks. Michael and his wife Susan, purchased Hankins Jewelers in Newton in 1991, and changed the name to Rohr Jewelry shortly thereafter.

Rohr Jewelry has always had a strong emphasis on, and taken pride, in being well trained in sales, service work and a strong custom work background. We are able to compete with anyone in the jewelry business because of our efforts to buy right and sell right. We have diamonds that we can sell for much less than the internets #1 diamond company.

Took my wedding ring in for cleaning and repair. It looks like a brand new ring, so sparkly and shiny. I also purchased a pair of earrings while I was there. The staff was quite pleasant and helpful. I will continue to do business here.

We were very pleased with the helpful staff and the friendly manner in which we were treated will shopping in the store..We found many items which we purchased during our time in the store, and we were offered free cleaning even for some items not purchased there, which I personally found above and beyond helpful.

I have always found what I needed here. The staff are always very helpful when I have asked them for advise on a purchase. I have also had repairs on watches and other items and they are always reasonable with cost. So glad we have a local jewelry store!

Came in to see about earrings for my 4 yr old and to get my wedding ring repaired. She found what she wanted and the staff told me about my repairs. Great price for the repair that I needed. The staff were great and especially great with my daughter! Speedy repair. Got it back the same day. Will Definetly go back for more repairs if needed and other pretty sparkly things for my daughter.

Received a birthday gift from Rohr, came for refund as I didn't care for it (had receipt), no refunds only exchanges. Wound up trading for a little ring. Struggled to find something I liked, very dated store. Polite staff though

Products tend to be overpriced, especially when compared to online stores like Amazon. However, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly most of the time. The store itself is very clean and unique in atmosphere.
