Dr. Weil is an optometrist in TAMPA providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities. As a Board Certified Optometric Physician, Dr. Weil provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments of all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, Dr. Weil is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology.

I always have a great experience when I come here. The selection of frames is unmatched in the area and Dr. Weil takes his time examining. I had never worn contacts that were as comfortable until I came here. They were custom made for me and don't even feel like I have them in. If you have astigmatism, you know how hard it is to find comfortable contacts!

I had purchased a pair of Cartier frameless glasses several years ago. They have a channel in the underside of the lens held in place by monofilament. Somehow it broke on one side. I stopped in with no appointment and they fixed them good as new at no charge. I highly recommend this company for top quality eyewear and customer service.

I've had such wonderful experiences here! Myself and my two children are always well taken care of. Dr Weil and his staff are always pleasant to work with and are very kind to us. I love that the staff there are so fashionable and I can trust their opinions on my eyewear. Both my son and wear glasses and each time I've been there the staff takes the time to really help. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. Dr. Weil is not someone who cares about his customers or treats them with respect. He leaves all customer issues to Angelo (Manager) and the rest of the staff, whose hands are tied to make any decisions based on unfair policies made to protect the business from their own mistakes.
The staff is helpful and knows how to maintain customer service, UNTIL something goes awry. Then they panic and treat the customer as if they've done something wrong, when it's Dr. Weil's policies that they're forced to support.

0 stars - Ordered expensive eyeglasses 15 days ago and have yet to receive them. Have dropped by the store twice and been told I'd have them the next day. Never received a call that they were ready. Called 3 times only to be given the run around and several different explanations as to why I have not received my glasses. Two weeks without eyeglasses. In this day and age it should never take 14+ days to get a pair of eyeglasses. DO NOT BUY EYEGLASSES FROM HERE. Frauds.

Would leave zero stars if I could. The "doctor" discounted my concerns and attempted to repeated convince me to pay for additional tests despite the fact that I said no every time. He also seems to lack even simple knowledge and even laughed when I described a common eye condition that had been previously diagnosed by a neuro-ophthalmologist (aka a real doctor). I even waited a few weeks to cool down and see if my opinion would change. Don't waste your time or money.

Worst place ever! Avoid at all cost! Arrived at the store today to pick up frames. They tried to give me the display frames that looked like they were chewed on. Clearly they are incompetent if the person putting the lenses in didn’t notice the ear piece was chewed off. Terrible service find someone who has a little customer service and common sense! Can’t wait to see how badly thy screw up the alleged new frame.

Absolutely the worst experience I have had with any healthcare provider. My wife had used Dr. Weil and Absolutely Optical for a couple years. The location is convenient for her and myself. She has not had any particular issues, other than Dr. Weil definitely did try to deter her from extended wear contacts. Which there is a reasonable argument to… be made, so that isn’t an issue. I needed to go to an optometrist to get contacts myself, and I wanted multifocal lenses. Which I had researched and have a reasonable understanding of. It is not that complicated. DO NOT GO HERE. They want to get the sale done quickly, because once you purchase you can only return for store credit. They will NOT inform you of this. It will be at the bottom of your sales receipt in fine print after you have paid. This isn't very helpful considering at that point the transaction has already gone through. So disappointed that I ever walked into this place.

This place is awful!! The sales representatives barely speak English and have no customer service skills. The doctor is unfriendly and pushy. It's going to take over 3 weeks to get your product and they can't even guarantee delivery because they don't track the shipments of lens or frames. The worst part was the people you work with. They do not care about your interest at all!

Terrible. Desite a good attitude overall, the glasses were not prepared on time, apparently the lens was not prepared according to prescription. Glasses (very expensive by the way) were returned but lens was never fixed. I was told I just had to get used to it. Don't fall for that advice...I did, twice. Solution was to just use old prescription. If I had wanted old prescription, I would have kept my old glasses. Net, a really BAD waste of time and money.

Most of the times you have to take one star reviews with a grain of salt as usually it is the dissatisfied customers who take the time to write reviews. This business is an example of that. It does have several negative reviews but I'm glad I decided to give them a try despite the reviews. I am extremely satisfied with the results. I made an appointment in advance, which helped. I went in for an annual eye exam and new glasses. From the moment I entered everyone who worked there was friendly. Dr. Weil was knowledgeable and uses the most up to date equipment I've seen at an optometrist

Great selection of designer frames. My only gripe is that the store locks every pair of frames so you have to ask for assistance every time you want to try on a pair of glasses. Since there are usually only 2-4 sales associates on the floor you may have to wait your turn to try on frames.
