This was my first time coming here. It was a wonderful experience you can tell all the techs and vets love their job and the animals. They were understanding and accommodating. I work late and during this time right now I can't take time off or leave early so the veterinary offered to come in on HER DAY OFF to do my cats surgery! WOW so appreciative for her willing to do this so my animal can have the right person and the most excellent care while being there!! I will recommend this place to all my friends and family's for their animals needs and will continue my cats care here even after surgery

They were amazing! We needed a last minute appointment to euthanize our sweet 14 year old girl, Roxy and they very graciously fit us in when no other local vet was able. We will always be immensely grateful for their selfless compassion. The cost, which was the least of our concerns, was extremely reasonable.

Wonderful place my little Ollie was diagnosed with kidney failure they have been working with me and Ollie and with there help my baby is doing wonderful and its truly hard to believe he is in the last stages of this disease.He is not suffering even a little no pain he is doing wonderful..5 stars!!!

We've brought all of our pets to the wonderful staff at Litchfield Veterinary Hospital. They have a dedicated carpeted area for cats which is separate from the dog area, which is nice.
The staff and the doctors are friendly, knowledgeable, and have always looked out for the best interest of our pets. Even Peter, the practice manager, will make his way out to the waiting area to greet you and your pet. Look for more details about their "Fear free" practice, as well!

Great Vet! My husband and I recently got our first puppy and we were going to a different vet, then we heard from family members how great Litchfield Vet was and we had to try it for ourselves. So glad we did! We switched to them and we’re never leaving. Wonderful place. Highly recommend.

I have to say this vet office is the best. They were the ones we switched to back in 2019. They found Sparky's cancer and other issues. They were always so caring for him with all his problems. But the way he was set free was the best experience I could have ever imagined. It was outside with all of us around him and it was stress free for him. Can not thank them enough for everything

I have had many animals treated here over the years and I must say, they are the kindest people in the world and great at what they do. I recently had to put one of my cats down, and it was a seriously heartbreaking decision...and the kindness and empathy they showed really gave me the support I needed to go through it. They are great doctors, techs and people!

I'm just sad that never get to see my pup's picture on their Facebook page when they upload for every other dogs pictures i don't know the difference. It's not like we are getting any cheaper price or something lol Treat every pup equally!
Used to love them but front desk people got attitude and that atmosphere isn't healthy for my pup. Hope they improve and be more welcoming!

Sadly this practice has deteriorated. We used them for 15 years, but recently the front desk gives out incorrect information and cannot operate the computers. Additionally they were unable to locate our cats' file. One tech told us no appointment was needed, and the other told us an appointment was needed immediately. I called Dr. Carey numerous times and she has yet to return our call. The practice has gotten too big... and unresponsive. We have found another vet who can find our cats' file and return a phone call. We have given this practice thousands of dollars over the years, and

I could not be happier with the service I receive at Litchfield Veterinary Hospital. They are consistently kind, dedicated, and thorough. Whether i am emailing them a litany of questions about my dog's health or visiting with in person, I am always given genuine, thorough, and helpful guidance on how to best care for my dog. I live in the USA. I have 4 foster kittens who developed ringworm at 5 weeks old. They are in the care of a vet here. They were getting extensive lesions. When searching the internet for information, I came upon the article in your website and it was the most complete and understandable of any. No one told me about cleaning the environment to keep reinfection at bay. They are now on the second week of oral anti fungals and thanks to you, I understand how to care for them and their environment. They are getting better. Thank you, I wish I lived closer. You'd be our vet for sure!

We had a good experience initially here but ensuing visits have been unhappy ones. And while we don't doubt the intent or the care for animals here, we've found the financial aspects of the operation to be quite shameful. Services are on the costly side here; there are less expensive veterinarians in the area (we were quoted about $1,200 for some dental expenses, while another high-quality vet quoted us nearly half that price). The final straw came seven weeks after our dog had a full exam and some shots and needed to return for two additional shots. The vet required us to pay for yet
