Services
Norm Braga first established Justin Michael's Salon in Castro Valley in 1974. The salon, originally named "Norm's Hair Works", began as a small boutique salon with only four employees. In 1981 on his son's 2nd birthday, Norm made the decision to change the name of his salon to reflect the love he had for his son, Justin Michael.

This was my first time ever dying my hair. I went to see Joe Jabsi. This is single handedly the worst decision I have ever made in my entire life. I have never felt worse about myself. I haven't seen anybody else with hair worse than mine. I have not stopped crying since my appointment. He did whatever he wanted to my hair disregarded my feelings, assured me with his "32 years of experience" I didn't need to worry. Every time I raised a concern he disregarded me and told me to trust him. He then proceeded to charge me $60 for hair that he cut in five minutes. You judge if it

Had a great experience with Jo. I have been to so many salons for haircuts but no one has taken the time like Jo to explain to me what will suit me as per my face cut and what will not look good on me. He is a very experienced stylist. This was my 2nd time and I am so happy I don't have to look for a good stylist anymore!! The only reason I gave am not giving 5 stars is because the hair brushes used didn't look very clean.

Thanks to the pandemic, we've been all locked up at our homes for more than a year. Naturally, we went back in time and became cavemen=) I needed to color my hair and get a haircut badly! I compared reviews and decided to get an appointment with Joe Jabsi at Justin Michael's Salon.
I realized that he was an exceptionally talented hair stylist after talking to him for a few minutes. He suggested an out-of-box color&style for my hair and I just trusted him. I don't regret my decision! I keep getting compliments how good my hair looks and how it fits to my face by my friends

My 1st Groupon experience.....I purchased a purchased a package with stylist Joe Jabsi. Didn't know what to expect and received the unexpected!! The initial consultation with Joe was to understand what I wanted. On the appt day, he was all prepared for the cut, highlights, and conditioning treatment which turned out lovely. His service, along with his wife Madeleine, was excellent. His energy is unique and catching!! He had a special flare when cutting which is a joy to watch. Have had a 2nd appt and waiting on my 3rd in November. The appts are an "experience" that I look forward

Joe was horrible, condescending and rude. Keep your opinions to yourself and listen to ur clients! Waste of time and energy to go here. He belittles u and doesn't respect your wishes and just does the opposite. To some their hair means more than just something on their head. It's part of them and you have no idea what ppl have gone through. You are being reported to the Better Business Bureau as it seems you owner could not care less about his/her business reviews. I'll give it a zero if I could.

I have been wanting to get my hair styled (layered) for a while. I just waited til my hair got really long, so I could get the layered look I preferred. Up until today, I had pretty long hair, that was just a little short of reaching my waist. To grow my hair this long after pregnancy was very difficult. I just wasnt pleased with the straight cut I had, I wanted to get it layered. I called this Salon today, was very excited that they had availability for a walk in, since I will be travelling in a few days to see my in laws out of state, plus it was a 40th birthday pamper myself opportunity

My hair was long, damaged, and very dull even though I have never dyed it before. I trusted the long process of cutting, bleaching, washing, toning, washing, cutting again and finally styling!! When you visit Justin Michael’s salon you have to see Joe Jabsi! Because I’ve been seeing him for 20 years, I know that he was the star of many international hair shows, events reserved only for stylists with skills like his. He is highly educated in his craft, and an educator as well, this will shine through during your very thorough consultation as he will guide you in what will look best for you.
So, it comes down to this…if you want to look amazing with the best cut/color/highlights you’ve ever had, Joe is a must!!

I had to get highlights for the first time ever.. so i was nervous didnt know what to expect.. i had been assisted by DANI ..the moment i walkd in the salon Dani was so friendly and kind she made me feel so much comfortable.. and she did my highlights so amazing.. like she did them so well that it was far from my expectations.... n i was just so excited with the new look she gave me ... if ur ever going to Justin Michaels salon Ask for Dani ..
