I have had a passion for hair and the beauty industry most of my life. I follow several famous hair stylists and I have worked for several high end local hair salons in the bay area. In that time, I have mastered a wide range of hair techniques including balayage, long hair, cutting, up-dos and my specialty and passion is color.
I use a wide range of L'Oreal color products, including the new revolutionary hair color system, INOA an ammonia free hair system. I believe in continual education and strive to stay at the forefront of my field with knowledge of new services available in order to provide excellent service to my clientele.

My review of Sam is long overdue! She absolutely SAVED my hair! Before going to Sam, my hair was seriously in shambles--super frizzy, balling up out of the shower, damaged! I attributed it to aging and having had two kids. Turns out my previous stylist was way over-processing my hair. I can't believe I never made the connection.
I just happened to leave my former stylist because the location was no longer convenient to me and started going to Sam. Fortunately, Sam educated me on why my hair was behaving the way it was and assured me that it was treatable. I seriously am in awe with the health

Sam is awesome, and not just because she is also named Sam! I know she doesn't check Yelp (we talked about it, haha) but I felt like I needed to leave a review. I was so ready to cut a large amount of my hair off, not only because it was too much to take care of, but also because I wanted to donate it to Wigs for Kids.
Sam was a great conversationalist. She has a small studio space but she instantly makes you feel comfortable. She cut my hair in four ponytails just like you need to do in order to donate it. She gave me a ton of helpful hair care tips, and she styled my hair based on my preferences

Friendly, accommodating and a master at her work, Sam is fantastic at her job. I went in a few months ago and basically told her I had no idea what cut I wanted, but that I wanted to "look like a professional woman." She did magic with my hair, making it perfect, and better than anything I could have come up with myself. Beyond that, she was super friendly and fun to talk to, and made me feel so comfortable! After years of thinking about it, I finally decided I was ready to take the plunge (and fork over the cash) to go with a vivid hair color. I combed through Yelp, stalked various Instagram accounts, and called around to fully understand what I was getting into. Sam was easy to talk to on the phone and gave me great info about the time and cost involved in maintaining vivid color, and she gave me advice about how to maintain the color so that I didn't need to hit the salon every month.

I went to Sam for the first time last week for a clean-up (didn't want anything drastic because I have a big event coming up) and honestly, I was super nervous! Switching hair stylists is very nerve-wracking for me because I have such thick hair and need layers. I do not dye my hair, just need someone to cut my hair the right way! You'd think my needs sound simple but people have messed up in the past.

I've only gotten a couple of haircuts from Sam so far, but I will keep coming back! She is the first hairstylist I've gone to that knows how to beautifully shape and cut curly hair, and she is very detail-oriented. I know I can relax, because she's a pro at what she does and an amazing person to talk to. After years of straightening my hair, I finally have the confidence to wear my natural curls!

Samantha is amazing i love the way She cuts and styles hair.She is the only one i can trust and does such a awesome job.She just cut my daughters hair and am so in love with it and how it turned out it was a big change for her because she went from long hair to short. Where do I even start? Sam is absolutely fabulous! My niece was finally ready to say goodbye to her super long locks and opt for something short and fun, but wanted it done ASAP before she changes her mind. We were so lucky that Sam was able to fit us in!

I learned a hard lesson this past weekend, fortunately Sam was there to get me through it! I reached out to her Sunday morning and by Sunday evening she fixed me right up!
I had a run in with some bad root touch up and thought I would end up with a deep red all over or bald but Sam saved it!
Don't be mistaken, it was a 4 hour repair. Worth every penny.
Already scheduled my next touch-up, new loyal client here!

First time trying Sam's Studio because I didn't want to drive all the way to Alameda for my haircut Good ol' Yelp helped me find this place. Overall, I was very pleased with my new haircut. Nothing drastic, just a trim, and minor layers.
Sam is very attentive to what the customer actually wants and will give you tips/pointers for your specific hair type. I will definitely recommend Sam's studio and will go back for another cut and perhaps color!

Okay soooooo found this cute little hidden gem here on yelp & decided to give it a try, 1. Because my usual stylist was booked and I got the itch for change and didn't wanna wait (you know us chicks ) and 2. Because this place had great reviews, not many but that's okay!

I love Samantha's work! I followed her from another salon in Fremont and have been going to her for over 3 years. She is very meticulous and gives my hair a thorough treatment, and isn't shy about giving complimentary treatments here and there too.
I get so many compliments on my cuts and color from her, and she's very mindful of cutting my thick curly hair in a way that can be worn curly or straight. She is also great about educating me on all things hair, and I feel like I learn something new about taking care of my hair every time I see her.

If you're looking for a great stylist-look no further! I've been going to Sam for about 4 years. I followed her from not one, but two salons, so believe it when I say, she's the best! My hair has never been healthier or looked this good in years and I owe it all to her.
From the minute you walk through her salon doors, Sam makes you feel right at home. Feel free to relax and indulge in some mimosas! I would also say that Sam is very in tune with her clients wants and needs, (especially color, she's AMAZING with color!) I tell her what I want, and she more than exceeds my expectations

I followed her from her former salon and I couldn't be happier. Her new studio is light, bright, private, and extremely clean. I'm a neat freak and Sam is OCD so we're a perfect match.

I love Sam's work I followed her from Fremont. A little bit of a drive but she is so worth following I have been going to Sam for about three years now. She has always given me the best tips and tricks for my crazy long hair. I love the products she uses on me and recommends for me because there is so many to choose from out there that it gets overwhelming at times and I end up buying the wrong one and it ends up getting wasted.
