Services
Dr. Holcomb was born and raised in Rusk and he knew he wanted to be a veterinarian from the time he was very young. He and wife, Chris always knew they wanted to practice in his home town. When he graduated, he returned to Rusk and Cherokee Animal Clinic began. He operated out of a portable Veterinary unit the first 2 years of practice while Chris operated the office from their dining room at home.
Joins us from Burleson Texas via San Marcos, and College Station. She is most excited to get to know our clients and learn about their pets. Her hopes are to learn more about exotic medicine while contributing her expertise in her special interest of diagnostics. Dr. Reeves always loved science and helping with 'Papaw's' cows so veterinary medicine was a natural fit.
Whatever your favorite pet, we've put together some helpful information below to provide the best in your pet's health. If you're favorite pet is any other than a cat or dog, give us a call and we'll help you with their needs - including those exotic birds!
Drug Free ~ Surgery Free ~ Relief For your Pet! We now offer laser therapy to reduce pain and speed the healing process. Our newest piece of equipment uses a beam of laser light to deeply penetrate tissue without damaging it. The treatment takes a matter of minutes and gives your pet a gentle warming feeling at the site of pain or inflammation.
What the doctor found was a painful, progressive disease that could develop into a serious illness. Muffin was suffering from serious gum disease. Oral diseases often go undectected in both dogs and cats. The preliminary results for a recently conducted study of veterinary clinics across the country shows that oral disease is the NUMBER ONE diagnosed health problem of dogs and cats visiting veterinary hospitals.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness
If I could give you a negative star review I would . Your staff was uncaring and very unprofessional and just plain RUDE.. I will never use your office again and I plan to tell everyone I meet how bad it was. Your office staff was more concerned with money than the care of my dog.
