Glaucoma is a group of eye conditions that can harm your vision. There are two types of glaucoma, and they are both serious conditions of the eye. Glaucoma occurs due to high pressure in the eye, which causes damage to the optic nerve. There is no cure for glaucoma. They billed my insurance incorrectly. After getting that sorted out, the prescription they wrote me did not match the trial contacts I was given. I didn't find this out until I purchased and wore a new pair of contacts, so I am out the money from paying for contacts that are the wrong prescription and I still have to purchase new ones. They told me because I didn't purchase the contacts from them I'll have to talk to the company I purchased from - even though it was their ridiculous error causing me to pay for an expensive product twice.

Great doctor! However they do not go by appointment times. You have to pay to park. It's hard to know how much to put in because you have no idea when you will be called in for your appointment. I've gotten tickets.
I found another Dr that I don't have to wait hours to see. My time is worth more then they seem to care about.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and I love the staff and the doctor. All throughout the times I’ve been coming here I’ve only ever had about 2 instances where they took a while to get to me but to be fair, they did have a lot of people those days. My glasses are always ready within 1-2 weeks, and I’m planning on getting contacts here soon. I’ve gotten colored contacts from them once and the lady who helped me pick out a color was so sweet and gave me her genuine opinion on the color on me. I trust them to not let me walk out with frames or contacts that make me look like a fool

We had to reschedule an appointment for my daughter so she wouldn’t miss testing at school. We we went in they had scheduled her to see an optometrist instead of the ophthalmologist that she needed to see so we had to reschedule again. Now we go in to find out they rescheduled her for yesterday without our consent so we had to reschedule again for this afternoon. They told us someone called once did not get a hold of us or leave a message and rescheduled anyway. This office so miss managed and horrible I can’t understand how they get anything done. The office staff treated me with disdain and

Needed to know the prescription on my current glasses about year old, refused to give me the information i payed for. They said i would need to come in and get an Eye exam, but that wouldn't tell me my current prescription. Last time I went their I was their for 4 hours and a had to come back days later for my lenses to get made.

I'll be honest, after reading all the negative reviews I was hesitant to make an appointment at Hammond's but my experience was great. I waited about 5 minutes before I was called in for testing. While the Dr was seeing other patients, I was taken to select the frame of my choice. Not long before my selection, I was called in by the Dr who was wonderful as well as the staff. I received my glasses in less than a week. No regrets. No complaints.
