We love AKF Martial Arts! Our 3 year old is learning the importance of listening and following instructions along with the physical fundamentals. The classes are also just the right amount of time for her age group and attention span. The instructors are very patient but firm and provide a great structured environment for learning.

AKF has been amazing for my 8 year old son! Yes, he's learning Kyuki-do and loving it, but he's also learning so much more. Self-respect and respect for others, discipline, work ethic, determination, responsibility, perseverance, and more. Some of the martial arts skills have not come easy for him, but the folks at AKF are so motivating and encouraging of him. This is a wonderful program!

My son has been going to AKF for a month now. All staff are always excited to see everyone as they come through the doors and they always address each child by there first name. The confidence and self esteem boost I have seen in my son within a month is amazing and I know that we made the right decision with enrolling him at AKF.

We enrolled our grandson in AKF a little over 2 years ago. He is absolutely crazy about this program. He is doing fantastic! He will be receiving his brown belt next week, and should have his black belt in a few months. Master Moniot and his staff are incredible with these kids. Not only are they teaching self defense, they also teach the kids the importance of discipline and respect. I highly recommend AKF.

While we aren't currently students at AKF Martial Arts, it wasn't because of bad instruction or experience. Simply because we are moving earlier than expected. I took my son to a trial class and can confidently vouch for Mr.Joes professionalism. Hes great with all the kids he comes across and you can really tell he loves what he does. I highly suggest trying this place out.

My son has participated in classes at AKF for the past year and is a better young man for it. Kyuki'do is about more than punching or mastering a particular sequence of moves - Mr. Joe emphasizes the mind, body and spirit in a fun way for the participants. Lessons of respect, kindness, self-control are all part of the curriculum. And these characteristics are important both on the mat and in our daily lives. Thanks, Mr. Joe!

Our daughter joined AKF a little over a year ago. In that time, as expected from any martial arts school, she has gained more self confidence, become physically stronger, made new friends, and has been given opportunities to prove herself as a leader. I highly recommend AKF Lexington Martial Arts for anyone of any age! Mr. Joe has done a wonderful job of creating a sense of community among the students and their families. He manages to instruct classes of all sizes while also providing individual attention and making each student feel important. I thought martial arts was just “punches and kicks”, but my son has learned so many important aspects of life that will help ensure success no matter what he chooses to pursue.
