Thanks, Service Battery, for being one of the few metal recyclers that are willing to accept recycling drop-offs from the general public. I had to make several phone calls to find a company that would allow me, a member of the general public if ever there was one, to recycle my beat-up old cookware. I did not want to contribute to the gigantic piles of unrecyclable trash, and let it be known, I recycled when it wasn't fashionable. It's nice to know that this business will let me live my morals.

So, my Honda Element battery that was really old was getting really weak. So I went over to Service Battery. I called before to make sure they had my battery size in stock. I had another battery that had been damaged, and I brought that one with me.
As soon as I arrived John Mandik came out on the dock, and after I told him I called, he went back and brought out a reconditioned battery for my vehicle. I placed my other damaged battery on the skid, took the battery he had for me, and I installed in my Honda. Put my old, weak battery on the skid.
Bottom line: reconditioned battery $40. Trade in

The owner is a way kewl Bear by the name of Scott Morrissey. I have used him 3 times already.
There are times when you just can't afford a brand new battery and $100 is nowhere to be found, but you need to drive your car.
