We start a new series of Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced classes every month. Our group classes are great fun and an awesome way to make some new friends. You'll also find that group sessions give more opportunities for practicing lead/follow techniques as well as more repetition. Salsa is a very sensual, energetic dance with its sexy hip movements along with the flashy turns and spins it has become a must learn dance for Houstonians.
Private dance lessons are the fastest way to learn to dance. Lessons are scheduled at your convenience with a qualified instructor who will work closely with you, giving you the personal attention necessary to create a customized program to ensure you learn to dance the right way. My initial motivations for taking a class was in part boredom and a coupon. it is a testament to Milly as a teacher that I am now in my 5 month of taking Salsa lessons and still going strong. Milly is a professional and fantastic teacher that has made a curriculum of dance routines which are fun and excitingly challenges you. You do not need a partner to begin, and Milly demonstrates and explains each lesson in a clear and concise manner. Her classes are fun, and she has retained from my incoming class (and others) a diverse group of students that are friendly and very supportive. I am excited

Really great dance studio! Gloria is a fantastic teacher! She explains and demonstrates all the moves that we learn in a very clear and concise way. Everyone in the group class is very nice and it is quite possible that you will make a few friends coming to the group classes. The price is very good as well. I would definitely recommend coming here to learn how to dance salsa!

My fiance and I took lessons with Demetra for our first dance. My fiance did not have a background in dance. Demetra explained and demonstrated the moves clearly for both my fiance and myself. She was also so patient in her explanations but also in modifying steps to suit our needs for our first dance, and a joy to work with! I highly recommend Demetra regardless of dance level!

Demetra from Gloria's dance studio prepared my spouse and I for our first dance. Demetra was an incredible instructor for us. We selected a five-pack of lessons (less than one month from the big day). We made quite drastic improvements each lesson. However midway through our 5 lessons, we still felt we still had a long way to go. Then Demetra kicked us into gear. The effort and passion she brought to our routine far exceeded our expectation. We would highly recommend Demetra as a dance instructor. Overall she is very nice, a great communicator, hard-working and we enjoyed working with her. Superb

My husband and I started off with a Groupon for the beginner ballroom classes because we wanted to learn some basics before our wedding. We enjoyed it SO MUCH that we actually did another 2 months of group classes (Pre-Intermediate) and then did 3 private lessons with Demetra for our first dance!
The group lessons were a lot of fun and non-threatening. Gloria made it very easy by showing you a basic move and having the whole class repeat the same move multiple times. We took beginners lessons with Gloria and they were outstanding. I have no dance experience and now feel confident enough to continue with more lessons and to even go out dancing!
My then fiance (now wife) and I took private lessons with Demetra in preparation for our wedding. She was wonderful! She put in extra effort to choreograph our dance in less than a month before the wedding and again- I HAD NO DANCE EXPERIENCE!
We will definitely go back as we enjoyed it so much and if you need private lessons, request Demetra!

Gloria’s salsa lessons are great. Great team of instructors. You don’t need to bring a partner, which is perfect if you want to try something new, and make some friends along the way.
I went for 8 months lessons, learning a good foundation to intermediate salsa, with a wide variety of moves. The lessons being run twice a week, make it easier to make the full moths lesson, which was wonderful. I hope one day they start having 2 opportunities a week for the advanced, so that I can return. Yes I would love to return.

I wanted to take Salsa lessons but did not want to do it alone, so dragged my sister with me.We had so much fun the first night that we knew we would definitely be coming back.We always look forward to salsa night and we have learned so much over the course of the last five months.Gloria is an amazing instructor she is very patient and encouraging. We went to Dance Passion as we wanted to have a salsa dance for our first wedding dance. I am horribly coordinated and was worried. We tried a Groupon to see if we could even make it through the Beginner class.
Gloria was our teacher and she definitely knows her stuff! She has a great way of teaching and presenting the dance. She makes sure to have a lot of repetition and does not go too fast. You have a routine for each level, that you will start off with and continue each class.

I have been dancing salsa on and off for years and have taken 5 different dance instructors in the Houston area.
I have always come back to Gloria. Classes offered support any level of experience.
Personally, I'm just looking for an instructor that can show me the extra movement or visualization of a step that will make sense to me so I can have more fun on the Dance floor.

Ya definitely get it here. Classes are the perfect size and filled with folks in the same boat as you--"I just want to be able to get up and move when that Latin beat starts poppin&apos

The instructor is super friendly. I took the basic class here then I went to another place to took the pre inter. It was a big mistake. Bc the other place the class was super crowded, the instructor cannot pay attention to individual student. In here, the class size is ok. It is not too slow or too fast. Gloria is very helpful. She cares about her students. I highly recommend you to take dance lessons here. They have small parking but you can park at the old starbuck and walk by
