Dr. Elise Svennevik grew up in Nolensville, TN and earned both her bachelor's degree and Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. While at Indiana University, she was an active leader in Volunteer Optometric Services in Humanity and member of the American Optometric Association.

We started going to Dr.Boerman 4 years back when my son’s myopia was increasing at bullet speed. She started him with the CRT lens. Our only goal at that time was to try and stop the progression. 4 years later , here we are - his MYOPIA HAS RECESSED !!!!!!.This is a miracle for us. I would recommend Brentwood eye care to anyone who is looking for a good eye doctor. She is thorough , and knows what she is doing. She is up to date on the latest technology, and discusses the options best for you.

Dr. Boerman is OUTSTANDING!!! She is truly an expert in her field of optometry and genuinely caring. I flew in from out of state to see her. Her knowledge is deep and she was able to diagnose a rare eye condition I had. She worked closely with an eye surgeon on my case, and listened and answered questions with compassion and competence. I felt relieved and reassured that I was in excellent and trustworthy hands! Her practice is beautiful and bright, equipped with modern technology, and her staff is warm and so welcoming. Highly recommend Brentwood Eye Care!!

GEORGE JETSON WOULD CHOOSE DR. BOERMAN
Remember The Jetsons? Those flying cars never happened, but something even better did. I don’t know what their proper name is, but Dr. Boerman suggested I try what I call “George Jetson’s Contact Lenses”. They’re like a miracle. I feel like I’ve been let out of a prison cell. After 17 years of wearing contacts for distance, AND readers for reading, I just threw away 8 pairs of reading glasses I had stashed everywhere. This is what freedom feels like! Thank You Dr. Boerman!

I had my first appointment with Brentwood Eye Care in June 2021. Great experience - I saw Dr. Svennevik and she was positively delightful! I highly recommend. Her demeanor was professional, yet fun. She recommended a new brand of contacts (I have been in the same brand for 10+ years) and after a 1 week trial, it's hard to use the remaining inventory of my remaining old contacts. The news brand is much better. Thank you!

Brentwood Eye Care is wonderful! Dr. Boerman and Dr. Svennevik helped me with my pre-op and post-op PRK surgery care and have gone above and beyond to make sure my vision is at its very best. The office itself is very clean, welcoming, & modern. While briefly waiting for my appointment, I noticed a great selection of designer eyewear and a competent staff accommodating patients. I have been to several optometrists throughout the Nashville area over the past 15 years and Dr. Boerman and Dr. Svennevik are by far the most thorough doctors I have seen.
