Discovery Lane is a school serving students, preschool-1st grade. Our school was developed for families desiring a progressive approach to learning, encouraging student interest and promoting a gamut of healthy living experiences. Teachers are encouraged to promote a classroom environment that motivates students to investigate their environment and act as co-researchers to scaffold knowledge.

Services
Alice Lane & Shante Lane Tamerat are Co-Owners and Co-Founders of Discovery Lane. The idea for Discovery Lane came in the summer of 2014. They were compelled to open an educational program tailored to the needs of the community and enriched the lives of families. Discovery Lane was established with the firm belief that students are remarkable when you give them a path to trail.
We offer an individualized curriculum, tailored specifically to students needs and development of academic progress. Students are encouraged to indulge in their environment and learn from what they see, smell, hear, and touch. To address the varying abilities of children we incorporate Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences into our daily lesson planning.

I found this school driving by one day and so I stopped. Needles to say Ms. Alice was awesome and before I left I’d already decided my child was going to attend. The staff is absolutely Amazing and I’m so distraught that we will be attending Kindergarten. Discovery Lane will be a tough act to follow!!!!
