The Vine Preschool
In this historic time of disruption and uncertainty, it's more important than ever to help our parents meet their rapidly changing needs. We've put together an updated protocol to guide us through this ever changing environment. The Vine Preschool is a childcare center that offers love, kindness and top notch quality preschool education.

What we will expose your kids to will have an affect on their future educational experiences. There are several approaches to potty training and you have to choose the process that works best for you. What I will discuss is my personal experiences with potty training as a parent and as a child care provider.
Services
The Vine Preschool provides before and after school care for children who attend Washington Mill and Woodley Hills Elementary School. Parents may drop their school-aged child off as early as 6:30am. From 6:30-7:30am children may have a morning snack and socialize with their friends. Children will then be transported by school bus from The Vine at St. James to Washington Mill, and from The Vine at Wesley to Woodley Hills.
Kimberly has a masters degree in early childhood special education. She is a Virginia State licensed teacher who worked for Alexandria City Public Schools for ten years before pursuing her passion to provide high-quality childcare for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. As a Community-Based Preschool teacher for ACPS, Kimberly worked with preschoolers in public and private settings, and during home visits.
The S-squared philosophy is our belief that every child needs seed deposits of security, stability and stimulation in order to grow cognitively, emotionally and physically. When children enter an environment, they pay very close attention to everything they see. They are hesitant at first which is the typical response when one is unfamiliar with their surroundings.
The Vine Preschool follows Fairfax County Public Schools for snow, ice and any other hazardous weather conditions. We do NOT follow their policy for cold temperatures. When Fairfax County Public Schools has a delayed opening for cold weather conditions, it is usually for students who stand and wait for the school bus.
At The Vine Preschool, we understand that first and foremost, babies need to feel safe and parents need to feel secure knowing that their baby is in good hands. The first way that infants take in their surroundings is through sight and sound. They are navigating through their environment and rely heavily on familiar faces and voices.

We’ve been at TVP for close to three years and had an amazing experience. Ms. Kim and her team are caring and planned many fun events which created lifetime memories for our little one. We’re off to Kindergarten but will truly miss this place.
