Thank you for visiting the Mishler Funeral Home & Cremation Center website. It is our mission to carry on the legacy of service that began with Wade Mishler in 1946 upon his return from serving his country in WWII. Since the glory days of the greatest generation many things have changed. However, one thing that has never changed is our commitment to serving families, before, during and after a loss.

We still believe that what is most important, is what is most important to you. Whether your family wishes to have a home wake, traditional funeral, natural burial, memorial gathering, or one of the many other options afforded with cremation you can rest assured that the Mishler family will make every effort to honor what is what is most meaningful to you.
Services
Wade E. Mishler entered the US Military as an embalmer in 1941. He served 27 months in the West Indies and 16 months in the South Pacific and Philippines, during WWII. He was awarded the Bronze Star with two oak leaf clusters, and was one of seven men who started the National Veteran's Cemetery in Manila.
Staff members of Mishler Funeral Home & Cremation Center are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Tony Ciriello retired after a 34 year career in law enforcement most recently serving as Chief of Police for the Syracuse Police Department.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.
