Compassionate, dynamic dentist with two decades of dental experience, Dr. Markovitch is well versed in both general and cosmetic dentistry. Always smiling and happy, Dr. Markovitch makes his patients feel at ease while the most innovative care is being delivered. Dr. Markovitch is an active member of the community and is well respected by his colleagues and patients alike.
Dr. Deborah Gortler Shukovsky is a three time graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated from dental school in 2004. She went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weil Cornell Medical Center and then postgraduate training in Endodontics at UPENN.
Dr. Terranova is committed to providing his patients with precision in his technique as well the neccessary experience that is need in solving complex periodontal issues in patients with other co-morbidities. He has over 40 years experience in periodontics and oral surgery. He has placed thousands of implants throughout a 40 year career and is one of the most educated and accomplished periodontists and oral surgeons in the New York area.
Our goal is to help evert patient through your first appointment. We all know that it can be scarey for a lot of patients, so we are here to answer any questions or help alleviate any concerns you may have. We work hard to offer our patients (new and old) a welcoming and comfortable office. We know that you may be anxious about your visit, so we will do everything we can do to help.

Friendly professional staff. You won’t find a better hygienist than Karen. Maximum efficiency and effectiveness at minimum discomfort. Dr. James is the best. He carefully checks anything Karen brings to his attention. He patiently explains what is just fine and then keeps an eye on what may need attention in the future.

I started coming here when they took my insurance now I work for someone else and they don't take it however I still absolutely love them. I have had a few emergencies and they immediately saw me and always fixed the problem. The office is bright and clean, the staff is amazing, helpful, and very funny, and I honestly can't say enough about the doctors they are one more fabulous then the other. Even though they don't take my insurance now I will still continue to see them locally for little things because I like them so much....seriously how many people do you hear love their dentist!!!

My experience with Wappingers dental was excellent. First, I was running a bit late I called to let the ladies in the front know they were nice about it although I ended up getting there 3 mn late. The dental hygienist was so kind to help me finish the medical forms on my phone because I forgot my glasses at home. Overall, everyone in the office seemed to be very friendly as well as the dentist. They were very thorough explaining what needed to be done about my teeth and very patient as well. I will definitely come back and recommend Wappingers dental to my friends and family which I’ve already

Very kind & efficient staff . I love their online set up for checking in and filling out personal information . Their oral surgeon , Mr.Terranova , had given me superior service & even while doing the work in an Expediant manner he was able to give me a quality of excellence . I was informed the entire surgery about what was actively happening… which was very nice to have no surprises for the duration . Lastly , even with having no insurance their prices are very good . The help I received from Wappingers a falls Dental Arts was fantastic , timely , & professional . Will recommend

Karen is the best dental hygienist I have had and Dr Christo is amazing. I have always hated going to the dentist and the staff here truly rock. I no longer avoid appointments! Front office staff is always kind and friendly. I have been to many dentist offices in Westchester/Hudson Valley area, and this is, hands down, the absolute best.

I was always treated well by everyone. I went for a partial plate. I opted for a temporary while permanent one was being made! The Dentist left my 2 strongest teeth for it to go onto. Plate had to be adjusted so many times! They even sent me to where they send plates out to be done! Still very lose.!!! Wasn’t happy with that but had to accept it couldn’t be made tighter. Well now only 2 yrs later I’m told I need those 2 remaining teeth pulled because they are loose!!! I should get implants to replace them and will need to get a new plate!! This is really unacceptable! Only 2 yrs! Dentist

Very dishonest business practices. I had a procedure done, they told me it would be $325 and they would schedule it once they received authorization from my insurance. They received authorization and scheduled my appointment, and I paid $325 as requested on the date of the procedure. Several months later, I get a bill in the mail for nearly $2,000!!! If they would have told me upfront that I would need to pay that much, I would have declined the procedure! It was an unnecessary procedure anyway (a crown on a back molar with no opposing tooth to even bite against)!

I was a patient of Dr. Grodin and was never informed he had retired. So when new dentist came into the exam room I would think he would introduce himself, which he did not. He did not tell me the results of his exam other than my gums were really receding and my teeth had really shifted. He was very brusque and rude. He spoke to me for approximately 1 minute and was out of the room. When I asked who he was the hygienist said "oh he's Dr. Maskevitch". I had to look at him on website to see who he was. Since I go every 6 months I wondered why no one said anything 6 months ago

I went in for a consult on a recommendation from a friend thinking it would be a good place. I was charged over $100.00 for a brief initial consult then referred to another dentist in the office and was then again charged over $100.00 again. I was then quoted over $5,000.00 for an implant for which I found a more reasonable provider. Now they keep calling me to try to get me back. It pays to shop around.

The staff will make you feel right at home, from the moment you walk in until you meet Dr. Grobin himself. Like the hygienists, he remains personable even as he exudes professionalism. This extends into his procedures - if you cringe at the memories of being "numbed up" at the sharp pain it usually brings, worry no more. He sees to it that you practically feel nothing. This is an excellent dentist with a great staff. Smile Works is true, because your smile does work after Dr. Grodin skillfully repairs or just cleans your teeth. No one likes spending time at the dentist, but if you maintain your oral hygiene you won't be in the chair long! My son has benefited by being a patient here and returns on visits home. The Dr. cares foremost about his patient's oral hygiene. I have always witnessed the staff as respectful and accommodating with schedules and billing. The quality of work performed by their hygienist is exceptional

CAUTION, ask how much, before you say yes. I made an appointment for a consultation after not having been to the dentist for a couple of years to get an estimate to bring my teeth up to par. I was given and estimate of $800. I decided I could budget $200 a month for the next 4 months. At my first appointment they inserted antibiotic capsules between my teeth. I was told, "It's possible the insurance company wouldn't cover all of the cost". The insurance company didn't cover any of it! I was billed $750. That blew my budget completely.
