We are a quirky gem in Watertown that has been connecting to the community since 2011. We love our unique, small space that is inviting to everyone. With almost 20 years of experience, Meghan will immediately welcome you and make you feel at ease. I'm a Libra who finds inspiration through music and art.
Reiki is a gentle, hands on healing modality from Japan. Think of it like acupuncture without the needles. It can stimulate the body's natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well being. We primarily use it for stress management and relaxation. Clients seek it to reduce stress, anxiety, pain and if they're feeling stuck in a current situation.
Hands down the best service I've ever had! Also, great ambiance, very knowledgeable owner who really listens to you, great scalp and shoulder massage before the cut. If you are looking for a high-end salon experience, go no further! Changing hair stylists and going to a new salon can be scary but I know I was at the right place when I met Meghan.

What can I say about Meghan's artistry that will give her justice? Not only is she an incredibly warm & lovely person, but her ability to take my less than clear hopes for my hair and transform it into something that is livable and beautiful is second to none. I was looking for a new hair stylist a few years ago and searched on yelp and found Meghan @ Alainn.
Changing hair stylists and going to a new salon can be scary but I know I was at the right place when I met Meghan. The salon is cute and inviting and a wonderful place to relax and get your hair done.
My hair is rather long and at times I do not really know what I need done.
Meghan is just so creative and passionate and always knows what my hair needs and I always have been extremely happy with the outcome.
I also like the personal touches in her salon.. quiet music, tea... scalp massages etc

Meghan is the epitome of a hair stylist. You can tell right away she has a passion for what she does. Her salon is so welcoming & has character unlike a lot of other salons I've been to that are just all white & sterile. You will not be disappointed in Alainn! Meghan listens when you talk & makes you want to keep coming back. She's always given me exactly what I wanted.

It was my first visit to Álainn today for a dramatic cut and vivid color and I couldn't be more delighted with every aspect of my experience. The space was so cozy and inviting and Chris (who I had spoken with on the phone when I booked my appointment) greeted me with an offer of tea and a soothing scalp massage--truly magical on a frigid winter day. I just adore Meghan. She is an excellent stylist and colorist, and gives me a great cut every time that is modern without being too trendy. She also knows how to style my fine hair and gives me great styling tips. She's so friendly and welcoming and adds little touches like tea or coffee and an aroma therapy shoulder massage. I love how she's decorated her place... is colorful, hip and comfortable. I always leave there feeling like I've been pampered.

Meghan Moran is awesome. First off, when you walk into her salon, she is incredibly gracious and welcoming. She loves what she does, and that is evident.
I've had some bad experiences with stylists in the past, but Meghan listened to me, cut my hair exactly as I asked, and didn't try to sell me products I didn't want.
The atmosphere at her salon is chill and relaxed, and Meghan's talents are enhanced by her natural empathy and the intuition she has for her clients' needs. I'll be back!

Finally! I've been in the Boston area for three years now, and somehow haven't managed to find anyone I like to do my hair... Until now! Megan is amazing! I "made the switch" to Meghan from my previous hairdresser about 18 months ago after a friend of mine had gone to her and got a fantastic cut and color. I was looking to make a change with my hair -- specifically, growing out a very short, layered cut that I had for a number of years. Meghan was the perfect person to make this happen. She is enthusiastic, attentive, and has great advice about what works.

Meghan is so great. She's the type of person you could spend an hour with and think, "I have a new friend!" I haven't gotten a color before, but she told me that my natural color was nice and that I didn't need extra coloring. That's awesome! The cut was good too, but I definitely respect her opinion.

Meghan is really the best! This was my first time at her salon today . She is truly a star at what she does. She listens to you and works with you to get what type of color style you want.
She worked magic on my hair I came in with multi tone/colored hair. To beautiful hair with natural looking caramel highlights. I will def be coming back to her. She is very humble and delight to talk to.

I cannot begin to explain how wonderful Meghan is as a person and a stylist!!! As you can see from her reviews, she certainly knows what she's doing. Often it is hard to trust a stylist, but after getting her name and number from a friend, I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! Meghan cut at least 3 inches off my hair and gave me a completely new do and I love it.
She is very personable, listens to what you want, and gives suggestions on what she thinks works with your hair and face. I wish I had gone to her from the start!

I'm another one of Meghan's long time followers from when she used to be at Pyara probably now about 5 years ago! I had really long, brown hair and wanted something different...she took one look at me, listened to what I wanted and literally transformed my hair by giving it an awesome cut and color, complete with a before and after picture!
I've followed her ever since and have not trusted anyone else to do my hair. Other reviewers are spot on - she has an excellent memory, very warm demeanor and first and foremost is an amazing stylist and colorist. She is happy to give suggestions

Meghan is the best. I have very thick, wavy hair that is a huge pain, and she has been able to tame it and craft hairstyles for me that I can actually keep up without hours with a hairdryer. I followed her from her previous salon to her new opening, and I've never left less than 100% pleased. She listens to what I want, but also isn't afraid to suggest something she thinks will work on me (and it always does).
She is also incredibly warm and welcoming and makes my hair appointments a treat. Big fan of the new salon as well.
