This is the best assisted living facility that I have placed my aunt. She was in a facility that didn't really meet her needs so I had to move her right away and fortunately there was an opening here. The director, Eli Goldman met with us and was so helpful in explaining the process and getting the room setup right away. It is really helpful to have an administrator who responds quickly to questions and concerns. We know we have found a winner when we saw how attentive the staff was. Also, the kitchen does an incredible job - the food is like home-cooked and that is a big deal for my

I posted a positive review months ago about Melrose Gardens. I am sadden to write a negative review today, however, it seems my positive review is being looked at and I don't want people to be misled. The management at that time I wrote the review was wonderful. Ron was the director in charge. The staff was friendly and they made you feel welcomed there. There was a warm feeling when you walked in. A couple of months ago, the ownership has changed and Ron left. There is a high turnover of caregivers, as I see many new faces there daily. The current director is not available most times to

After working at Melrose Gardens I'm writing a bad review on the company. Where to start the food is horrible and not cook half the time it sent three residents to the hospital. No activities for the residents in the cottages TV every day no stimulation for them no outings at all. Short staffed all the time and under paid. No supplies for the residents.
It was converted from a hotel the place is very dirty and the carpet smells. They have had sacbes break out more then once. I would never ever put my loved one in there community.

Ron, Ivan, Dee Dee, Jackie, and the whole staff have been lifesavers in taking care of Mom and her needs. Their facility is small enough for me to know everyone involved in Mom's care and for their staff to attend individually to all residents as may be necessary. Yet it is large enough to offer amenities found typically in larger facilities that lack the personal touch. It is that personal touch in caring for Mom (and me too) like family that makes a huge difference. I stop by as often as I can unannounced as if it were my own home, never finding Mom alone or unattended other than to sleep at

I can't say enough about how wonderful the people are at Melrose Gardens. Beautiful place, clean, always upbeat and positive staff. The staff are very involved with each resident all day, providing wonderful activities that entertain them all. No other place around. I was so impressed when I first walked in. Gorgeous flowers are displayed all around the foyer. Very nice people greeted me when I walked in.

Melrose Gardens is a well-managed assisted living facility with Ron Villacis at the helm and is responsible for its outstanding level of service. Premises are always clean inside and outside. The residents are well-taken cared of by friendly and caring staff. I definitely will want to have my family members choose Melrose Gardens when the need for staying in an assisted living comes.

Top down, Melrose Gardens is a superb assisted living facility in a beautiful, quiet, West Hollywood neighborhood.
My mom has been in Melrose Gardens' separate secured memory care unit, "The Cottages", for the last 10 months - she has absolutely thrived!
In a small community of no more than 18 residents, the care these folks receive is outstanding! All private rooms are good sized and customized with personal furniture and artwork. There is a delightful outdoor garden in the back with mature trees surrounding it.

The staff at Melrose treat my mother with respect and love. The med techs to the caregivers make my mom feel special. I visit her at different times of day and I have NEVER had any concerns that I would walk in on her being abused or mistreated. One caregiver even sat with my mom one night when she couldn’t sleep. The facility is small enough where each resident gets special attention.
I would definitely recommend Melrose Gardens Assisted living and cottages.

Disclaimer- I'm writing a review based on my experience helping my boyfriend move his parents in and visiting about twice a week, including sleeping over, for about three months. This facility is really small- I think it was converted from an old motel, which would explain the lack of space in each room. It's like a dormitory- you have no living room, dining area of kitchen. We researched a ton of places and found this in the right budget and location- and after visiting a few times, thought it would be a good fit.

I'm trustee for my elderly cousin, who's been living at Melrose Gardens for 5 years. He's not the easiest person to get along with or take care of, but the staff at Melrose Gardens do a great job. The place is always clean and cheerful, and the residents are well cared-for. They work hard to provide activities and stimulation. Whenever there's a problem, the director contacts me immediately. A really great place, couldn't recommend more highly - and for what you get, there rates are very reasonable.
