At Palmetto Children's Academy, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality childcare in the best possible preschool environment. We strive to provide a nurturing, secure, and stimulating environment for young children, one in which children can safely explore, learn, play, and develop physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
We believe in being supportive of our parents, and we welcome their positive involvement and presence at Palmetto Children's Academy at all times. We further believe that in such a caring atmosphere, where parents and teachers have open and honest communications, children thrive and have the opportunity to blossom into responsible, considerate, and contributing members of society.

Services
At Palmetto Children's Academy, the development of each child's self-esteem and sense of responsibility is our principal objective. Palmetto Children's Academy understands that children naturally desire to learn and explore at a very young age. We strive to enhance this curiosity while encouraging the children to develop a strong sense of pride and achievement.
The Palmetto Children's Academy Curriculum Department and our staff at Palmetto Children's Academy work together to stay abreast of the latest research in child development in order to utilize the best teaching methods available. Our goal is to help every child reach his/her greatest potential. Learning should be a happy and rewarding experience for children.
Taking care of infants is both demanding and rewarding. Each infant has individual needs. From constant monitoring of each child to proper feeding and the all-important clean diaper, every need is met. In a warm, loving atmosphere, our staff provides for these needs as well as giving special attention to developmental milestones.
At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come. Crawling, walking and eventually running are levels they accomplish in what seems like a blink of the eye. They are learning new social skills and with that come a new level of emotions. The Palmetto Children's Academy toddler program is designed to provide hands-on activities that allow children to explore, inquire, and discover solutions first hand.
Two and three year olds are naturally curious. At our centers, children can explore their world in safe surroundings. Showing them pictures, allowing them to touch, smell and create objects are just a few activities necessary for healthy development. In addition, teachers are encouraged to let the children hold and identify items, talk, walk, feed themselves, and accomplish potty training.

I am writing this review not to bash this daycare, but to tell you all my experience. I truly don't feel like this is a safe place for children. My son was 16 months when I enrolled him. He was there for about 6 weeks. It's not a secret that this daycare isn't the nicest of areas. But in Rock Hill I feel it's normal to have a not so great area right next to fine area, so I didn't think anything of it. After the first couple days he was there, I tried the front door just to see if it was locked and to my surprise it wasn't. I have never worked at nor heard of a daycare that doesn't lock their doors

Our toddler entered daycare for the first time in May-we couldn’t be more thrilled and spoiled with PCA being our first experience with daycare. Ms Kim is extremely passionate about her school and all the interworking parts. The building is always clean and full of smiling children AND teachers (which is a great testimony to the environment)
Each teacher we’ve interacted with has gone above and beyond with compassion, energy and enthusiasm. Our son is mostly with Ms Deja and she is PHENOMENAL. Kind, fun, smart and patient-she’s everything you could hope for in someone spending such quality

Started my youngest here, and while it is just his first week, I can tell he likes it a lot...so do I.
He is already going right from my arms to his teachers arms in the morning.... NO TEARS.
He is young but already talking about teachers by name and on the drive home, songs etc.
He's only been at one other facility so I was worried he wouldn't transition well...it's been so great!
Communication has been great, I (and he) loves the playground (very spacious with lots for kids to do... no more fighting over slide or toys) and he especially loves seeing the trains.
The rooms are big and don

My two children went to PCA for 3 years, until we relocated to the west coast. Both my kids loved each and every teacher they had. You can tell the staff and the owner are in it for the children! The structure in the classrooms and the curriculum are outstanding! The preschool program had my 5 year old we'll prepared for kindergarten. It was very hard to find comparable preschool/daycare facility where we relocated to.

Recently started my 7 month old son there after researching many facilities. It felt like the right place- good people, christian based, educational, etc. He loves the ladies in the infant room. Everyone knows him when we walk in the door. They do a great job of keeping me updated on what he did that day and what he needs. Kim seems to know every child that walks in the door! Couldn't be happier!

I think PCA is wonderful. My daughter has a medical condition, hydrocephalus. The owner, Kim, was sure to cover it with all the workers, and not just the ones in my daughter's room. I read the post below about constant staff turn over, and that is only the part time workers. The main workers, who are there for most of the day, have been there 3+ years. The workers that cover an hour or two in the evening do come and go, because they are typically college students earning their degree in childcare or education. Also, Kim does an extensive back ground check on all of her employees.
