Drove here today from Daly City because reviews stated this place does outdoor pedis. My mom, sister and I got here only to learn that they did not have any outdoor pedicure services available today, even though I called first to confirm that they did do outdoor pedicures. They were nice and parking is abundant on a busy street. We ended up getting pedicures in SF at a salon that was able to see us and only us in their salon.

This is the best place I’ve ever used. They are very professional and the environment is very relaxing. There’s not the usual loud chatter taking place. It’s atmosphere is quiet with soothing French music playing. I really look forward to coming here and enjoying a relaxed, clean , quiet time to get my pedicures. I drive 30 minutes to come here and it’s totally worth it to me.

One star for the location and that's pre try much it. I can't remember the last time someone actually broke skin for a mani pedi. They were busy and they aren't inexpensive. I don't mind paying higher prices but I expect quality. See photo as reference. I would be happier to spend $75 else where. Plus, with covid, they don't offer their outdoor spaces... Why?

I jJust moved here and went in with my mom for a mani pedi. Very disappointed. My mom's nails were completely filed down and crooked - after asking them to keep them longish and even. Mom explained several times along the way how she wasn't liking the way they were shaping her nails (all crooked) and was told it's her fingers that are crooked. They are not! She finally had to take the file and fix all ten finger nails. Our feet also needed a good basic foot filing to smooth out the rushed job they did on them, leaving them snagged and rough. Both my mom and i don't expect a

I'm a bit new to nail salons, but this place totally takes the cake over anywhere else I've been. The space is open and airy and plays comfortable, modern music. It has a wonderful vibe, and although there were quite a few people getting pedis when I arrived, everyone was very peaceful and relaxed. Most important, the ladies who work here are genuinely lovely -- I had such a nice experience with Kim.

** edited review to one star- hadn't taken a look at my nails. Looks like a child painted them.. very frustrsting to pay 40 dollars during a busy week, leave upset,, all for a job i could've done better myself. Overpriced. not worth the money. Asked to have callus treatment and they didn't add it. Cut my nails without asking and I have problems with ingrown toenails. Felt rushed, lack detail, for a basic pedicure for 40 dollars you can get much better elsewhere.

My daughter and I wanted a relaxing and luxurious mani/pedi. We made the appt ahead of time but upon arrival the desk person seemed surprised. That's not such an issue, but I mention it because the person that attended me was in such a rush to finish that my experience was anything but relaxing. My daughter had a very kind and gentle clinician, while mine was quick and not thorough. When I got home I saw that the paint on my big toes was smudged and I still had dirt under my nails.
40 minutes and $165 later, I wished I had gone to the small, cheaper place I usually go to. This was such

I've been coming to Solemates for several years and I love the experience and my nails every time. All of the people who work here are lovely and are gentle with their manicures and pedicures but still thorough. The color selection, gentle work, and atmosphere keep me coming back. They have a lot of precautions for covid and I felt safe doing my first indoor service in April yet they still have outdoor services for people who prefer that. Will be coming back for years. A calm, comfortable and pampering treat.

I have been going to Solemates for about six years now. The place is very clean; the staff friendly and extremely competent. I have really liked going there for a mani/pedi. Awhile back the price for a mani/pedi went up significantly to $50, no credit cards. Now the price is $65 cash only. Am I just out of the loop or is this very expensive for a straightforward mani-pedi? I will look elsewhere and/or have fewer appointments here.

Don't tell my current salon that I cheated on them and found my Solemate. Happen to be driving on shattuck and saw they had tents. Called on Friday for an appointment on Saturday afternoon. Got a manicure and pedicure outside then went in for an eyebrow wax. The ladies were super nice and funny. Waited a little bit then got seated and Emmy got to work right away. I felt safer being outdoors and with the added safety measures. Inside the ship is super cute and clean. I'll be back!

Very Nice & Polite Staff especially the Owner / Manager. I am not one to leave negative reviews because I’m very thoughtful however it’s been months due to COVID that I needed a pedicure and I specifically kindly requested to have the calluses on the heel of my feet removed. The lady didn’t even barely scrub and the few little strokes she did attempt were without any pressure which resulted my feet to be painted with new nail polish and everything else looks exactly the same as before my appointment. I was extremely excited to finally get my feet done and to be this disappointed truly upset

Came across here while getting food at Saul's next door. I saw that they were doing manicures and pedicures outside, staff wore masks, gloves, face shields and they had portable sneeze guards that separated us. Also all tools used are brand new and package so you are the only one that ever uses them.
I hadn't had my feet or nails done since before COVID-19, so they were in pretty bad condition. Thuy, she worked really hard on my feet, but was cautious not to injury me.
She is great! I have been back twice.

By appointments only right now, usually can be a same day appointment if you call or request early enough. My usual place is still closed due to covid, so it was nice to get my nails done during this crazy time.
Standard manicure is $29, gel manicure is $45. There is one table for just manicure and 6 chairs are mani/pedi combos. The space is in the parking area in front of the Spa and Book Inc, so if you are driving, you will have to park up Vine Street.
Granted, it is not the most relaxing being under a tent and there is a Saul's outdoor dining table 6 ft away from me and WASP flying

Great place, I have been going for 8 years. I have never had a bad experience here with their Mani/pedi service. They sanitize their tools and the technicians are gentle, friendly and communicative. The only reason I am giving them 4 out of 5 stars is their insistence on you paying cash for tips. Given their prices, the credit card % the bank charges should not be an issue. And like previous reviews here, I have to agree that the person at the front desk is kind of rude. I'm big on customer service when I am being charged $50 for a nongel manicure and I always tip 20% or more.

Walk ins welcome is what is advertised on a sign in front of their store, however, I walked in today, Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, and asked for a manicure. I wanted a manicure without special polish. There were three employees with no customers at 6:30. They were all talking to each other in a foreign language and told me they were not taking anymore customers. Clearly, this is not a consumer orientated business. New to neighborhood, attending Cal, not going back, due to this experience.

I have frequented his salon for several months. I like the way it smells and is convenient to where I live.
I have noticed that it depends very much on the person attending you.
Last Tuesday I had very inexperienced person do my manicure. I told her I'd like to be cut short were cut so severely they hurt and are rough.
The pedicure was OK, very minimal and short.
However, when I went back to complain about the pedicure the owner herself came out and corrected of what could be corrected and apologized, so I felt much better.

A little pricey for getting your nails done, but they do an excellent job! While getting my nails done my manicurist really kept the conversation going and she was really kind. It's different from what I'm used to. I felt more relaxed here while getting my nails done compared to other places I've been to.
This place is located close to cvs on shattuck and across the street from safeway. Parking here is metered so be prepared to pay for your parking. It can get limited but you can always park around the corner and be near Peet's coffee.
I would highly recommend calling ahead
